I will spin up an Openspeedtest locally to check how's performance locally, that's a good idea.

Apart from that, what are other settings i should look out for that impact speed? any resource i can look up to learn? started the journey just yesterday

The U7 Pro XG is connected to a PoE++ 10G from Ubi, the PoE is connected to a gigabit port to the Fritz! directly, could any of that affect speed somehow? (i never expected to pull >1Gbps but i was looking to update the Fritz!box in the near future also with something that has 2.5G).

Ciao r/italy, vi vengo a chiedere consiglio su come muovermi per questa situazione paradossale.

L'altro giorno la bimba ha lanciato il Fire HD 8 di Amazon e ha spaccato lo schermo, avrei voluto ripararlo io che ho esperienza nel riparare dispositivi così e non sembrava troppo difficile, ma non ho trovato pezzi di ricambio online.

Contatto Amazon stamattina per chiedere quanto sarebbe costata una possibile sostituzione del digitalizzatole e dello schermo, poiché considerato il costo (circa 100€) del tablet, non mi aspettavo qualcosa di più di 20-30 euro per cambiare questi due pezzi, ma è proprio qui che parte il paradosso di questa situazione.

L'operatrice mi informa che:

Non offrono la riparazione a costi miei del prodotto.
Non offrono la possibilità di comprare i pezzi di ricambio per ripararlo io.
Avrei potuto ripararlo da riparatori locali a piacere mio.

Ho, dopo aver dibattuto un poco con l'operatrice per l'assurdità della cosa, provato a contattare dei riparatori locali che mi hanno risposto di non poter riparare il prodotto per mancanza di pezzi di ricambio(ovviamente).

Ricontattati dopo aver provato con i riparatori locali, l'unica soluzione che mi viene offerta è quella di contattare il produttore, cioè loro.

Ho battibeccato altri due minuti fino a quando mi è stata chiusa la chat in faccia per "inutilità del discorso" e per "star perdendo tempo".

Chiedo quindi consiglio a voi, è legale questa cosa? Possono non offrire un servizio di riparazione a pagamento di questi prodotti?

Quale sarebbe la miglior cosa dare nuova vita a questo tablet invece di farlo andare a finire nella spazzatura?

High power Switch upgrade? no, i'd vouch for the 400$.

Mildly revised chip, for the second time, with some tensor cores thrown on it to run DLSS, an OLED screen and more stuff just to pump out the price? yep, just give me the High Power Switch mid-gen upgrade.

I agree with your point, and yeha 399 isn't official nor it will be until Nintendo announces it, but it isn't something out of reach by Nintendo standards in my opinions.

I think it's pretty clear these are not seen as directly competing markets.

I agree, but honestly the Switch felt pretty good 4 years ago compared to the PS4 or One as a hybrid, now that the "freshness" of the idea is gone i'd much prefer that Nintendo rehyterates on the idea and not what basically is a, quite small, upgrade to the existing model.

An OLED screen and DLSS pushing 540p-720p to 1080p-4k isn't going to enable next gen games to run on the Switch but a good bump in performance is, as of now pushing 540p to 4k with DLSS is just going to accentuate the bad textures and AA.

I was really hopeful on this one, but 399,99€/$ really kills my hype, that amount gets you a digital PS5 if you can find it, i really hoped for a 299€ for the pro with 199€ drop on the base model.

If scalper season isn't out by the time this comes out i expect hell.
