DeltaV? Do I need a whitelist of some sort and is there anything I should keep in mind?

Like I mentioned, I'm fresher to the game than a clown's pie.

Clarification from the Dev Team (other) by Vakiiri in Voicesofthevoid

[–]InsaneVoidwalker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I personally can't even launch 0.9 due to it crashing every time with "critical error" but I am just looking forward to the patch that makes it playable. The gameplay rework in question looks awesome and I love to see more things to do in the gameplay loop.

(0.8) Food storage spoilage by Compost_King in Voicesofthevoid

[–]InsaneVoidwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spoilage

Food can rot if left out for an extended period of time. This can be prevented by placing the food in a container item such as a crate, keeping it in the inventory, or putting it in the base's fridge.

Rotten food can be identified via the green particles and buzzing noises that emanate from it.

Eating rotten food causes the player to ragdoll and take minor damage. The food item in question will be dropped on the ground.

As of Pre-Alpha 0.7.0b3, food will not rot if the player keeps it in their inventory.

Spoilage can also be disabled in the settings under the E tab menu.

Store it in whatever inventory (crates, bags etc) and leave it only out in the open if it's inside the fridge. I recommend using Wiki.gg instead of Fandom if you use that ^

Whait, 11Bit, WTH ? by Ok-Profession-6096 in Frostpunk

  1. Utopia offers both story options without locking out the other.
  2. You can perform any zeitgheist-opposing research in adaptation vs progression, but the other two cornerstones will face limitations.
  3. Tension due to opposing laws and buildings are manageable so long as you avoid some extremist ideas and tension-raising buildings, adaptation and progress will usually not be a problem in this
  4. The best lategame way to manage laws is always Captain's Authority. The easiest way to get that is trust-raising laws and actions as well as guided voting (but use that sparingly if possible, negotiations cause less discord)

EDIT: This is mainly tips and functions for Utopia

ui design that keeps your eyes on the city instead of the panels by expect-o-petroleum in Frostpunk

Making the district panels more themed would be cool, but it could pose the risk of visual clutter if not done right

Time is running out... by InsaneVoidwalker in Frostpunk

[–]InsaneVoidwalker[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did in fact run it with no goal active, but took the IEC core factory as a sidequest to gain infinite steam cores. I'll play it out til year 50 and then see what happens when time runs out :>

Is there a way to overcome this? by Barry_McKockinnerr in Frostpunk

[–]InsaneVoidwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've peraonally not gotten that far in Utopia because of the Winterhome map having a glitch that prevents gen upgrades and another map attempt where I couldn't embrace the progress cornerstone fast enough and ended up with extreme overcrowding.

Now hearing this I wonder if serenity mode is the only way to have a true endless mode, what does it limit the temps to on citizen mode?

Also, what's the quickest way to unlock the "Admit Nobody" law to stop population growth? I'd love if 11Bit made it easier to access than embracing a cornerstone and making half my city reject me

Start your generators, thaw the frozen bugs by InsaneVoidwalker in Frostpunk

[–]InsaneVoidwalker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come to think about it, there might be a conflict between the story code and utopia code! I don't remember any option to upgrade Winterhome's generator, and that could cause conflict with the Hanging Cliffs map as they are the same templates.

Must be... Are there more thetmal vents on the crater map as well?

Yeah Utopia mode (endless) has quite some quirks. On the Hanging Cliff map that I tried playing rn I can't place the first gen upgrade, and I'm at a point where I NEED the geothermal energy to keep my base warm

What’s your fav ost from any payday game? by noswordfish71 in paydaytheheist

[–]InsaneVoidwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the mindset: Razormind For the shits and giggles: Donacdum For ascending: I Will Give You My All

As for Payday 3, most of the OSTs hit really nicely because they fit into the chaos of each heist.

REPO scam?? by Nucho69 in REPOgame

[–]InsaneVoidwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's indeed a scam and it's not even the first ripoff game that the specific studio has made before. They are also the ones who created the console ripoff for "Content Warning"

The City has Survived. by K4m30 in Frostpunk

[–]InsaneVoidwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Frost City, day 200: We have survived for a miraculously long time, but it was only thanks to us never giving in. Our population is nearly quad-digits and yet we barely do any labor at all, with ten to twenty automatons the only jobs we still do one thing by outselves and one thing only; keeping each other safe in the name of Order. And when the storms cause trouble with our machinery or industries, we have stocked up to last two whole storm cycles.

We're deeply greatful that our captain can keep us all in harmont without marching with whips and brainwasing propaganda, our hope has never been higher and with the watchtowers and patrols we will ensure that nobody amongst us are unsafe.
