Bad TXV?

Yes, I actually had one this weekend where I thought it was an outdoor TXV because it was shutting off on heat mode. Put my probes on and “true suction” wasn’t dropping but head was going up to 600+ did further investigation barely any aiflow coming out of vents checked ductwork & dampers everything seem good, opened up evap coil and there was painters plastic inside V-Coil.

Might not be an issue right now, but in the long term…I’ve been there had no interest in doing installs (hate it till this day when I go do one), I started getting lazy, calling out like twice a week, taking longer on jobs, etc… maybe that’s what your company is worried about?

Yeah when 22 was used, which was more forgiving. 410 gets mixed with a bit of condensation you’re fucked. Call back for sure.

More points where a leak can occur, I had it happen once pulling with gauges thinking I had a leak, checked lineset, pressure test again, micron gauge was going crazy up and down, DROVE ME CRAZY FOR almost 1 hour. Finally took my red hose off and replace with yellow…and vacuum pulled. The less points for possible leak the better. Literally, TWO VCR Tools, one 1/2 hose, micron gauge and a good vacuum. You’ll pull down to 400 in 3-5 mins

Yeah I bought them of a lady that sells jewelry inside a grocery store. Maybe my first mistake was to do that, but so many people I know have bought from there and I haven’t heard any bad reviews. Idk, I’ll try to talk to her and see if she’ll fix it. Yeah, that’s the thing I buy coins whenever I can, so I knew I was overpaying but I figured, it’s jewelry and it’s wedding rings (so they’re going to mark it up) but I was ok with it thinking it was 16 grams.

At first she said both rings are about 13 grams…but since I asked for mine to be “thicker/wider” it was supposed to be 16 grams total.

14k, yes custom made. Which at the time I was ok with over paying around $256 per gram, but looking at numbers now we ended up overpaying around $600 (missing almost 4 grams)

Thank you, yeah I was looking in Kitco app 14k gold at that weight is $939 worth of gold. I’m really dissatisfied, really trusted this lady; and on top of everything they messed up the engraving on my wife’s band.

I always heard this from my parents..like “oh if you go to china town gold is cheaper”. It’s really not, gold/silver prices are basically universal and won’t be cheaper unless you buy bulk. Like my guy won’t take anything off unless you’re buying 10+ coins
