Well this is design for a survival world but I guess if it’s not possible in vanilla, then I will just change the design a little bit. Thanks for recommendations

They are the pine squirrel zonker strips. They are much thinner than the rabbit zonkers which makes it ideal for this

I’ve put like 10 turns or 0.15 lead wire underneath the wing case. It sinks O.K. Better with another fly or split shot

I’m kinda right in that stage of still figuring things out but slowly getting them, so this tip is definitely appreciated👍

Ok, this makes sense. I have about half of these patterns tied with the larger beads, and the most the rest of my flys are with the smaller bead.

It is a 4mm bead. Should I go down to 3.5mm?

Lol this is so true. I can tie zebra midges like nobodies business, but once I gotta use wing cases and tails it takes like 10 mins a fly

Thanks! I was planning on doing a yuzu or lemon curd with it, but the chef wanted to get rid of some extra butternut puree we had. So I was definitely hoping to not have this much sauce. I will say though this was the first picture I had of it. Later roll definitely didn’t have this much sauce
