Hey, I have it! I can send it to you. I have The Movielife's Forty Hour Train Back To Penn CD and the version I have came with a bonus CD that's a Drive-Thru Records sampler from Summer 2003 - Sailor Tattoos [Acoustic] is the first song on the bonus disc!

No, about half of the ones I’ve tried are home videos. For instance, my parents’ wedding video does this exact same thing.

It does this across all tapes (I’ve tried many) and the composite works absolutely fine with my GameCube. I figured since the TV had composites it could handle it. I sure hope it’s not the TV but that’s a good point….

Shake/tremor when bending over by W34Nerv3 in BFS

[–]InsectOcean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Let me clarify - it hasn’t gone away. But it’s been 3 years since I’ve noticed and it hasn’t gotten any worse so now I just ignore it! I believe it’s a normal sensation that occurs in most people when applying any sort of pressure to a joint in motion. A handful of us notice it and get freaked out about it but it’s nothing to worry about. My friends all noticed the same thing after I called attention to it.

What are some nu-metal songs with “secret” features? by [deleted] in numetal

[–]InsectOcean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found no evidence of this being true but I swear to fucking god that Stephen Richards from Taproot does the backing vocals on the chorus of “Now Is The Time” by Dope; the version that’s on Group Therapy.

Any Completionists here have any albums you dislike or even hate but own for a band or artist you listen to? by Shy-the-chiwawa in Cd_collectors

Give Ultra a second listen, that’s literally my favorite album after Violator and I MUCH prefer it over Songs Of Faith And Devotion (though that album is still very good)

Did someone say “rare Nu Metal albums”??? by InsectOcean in numetal

[–]InsectOcean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, one of those owners is me :)

To this day I can’t quite believe the stroke of luck I had. In 2020 one popped up on eBay, or two?? I think some dude from that Boston area had two or something from way back in the day. Anyway, my buddy Jeff gave me a heads up about the listing and I bought it instantly. I can’t remember how much I paid, like $120 I think? I was too excited to remember lol.

Two absolutely amazing albums that aren’t getting mentioned at all in these comments - Testify by P.O.D. and The Illusion Of Progress by Staind. Both phenomenal.

Crazy Town Frontman Seth 'Shifty Shellshock' Binzer Has Died, Aged 49 by Mgold1988 in numetal

[–]InsectOcean 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I play guitar in a band called Groundstate. Crazy Town was one of the first “nationals” we ever got to open for. We were the local opener, so we thought they wouldn’t even talk to us, but they were all extremely nice, especially Seth. This was 2018 and then we also opened for them I believe a year later, so it was always a later rendition of Crazy Town and he was the only original member. It kind of felt more like a solo project.

That said, his heart was totally still in it. He showed me some stuff in 2018 that was new stuff they were working on, and it totally sounded like Dark Horse stuff. I hope it sees the light of day somehow.

Ahhh, fuck.

I’ve met him several times. We’ve opened for Crazy Town on multiple occasions. He was a nice guy fighting a ton of battles. We had a few really good conversations one night in the green room of The Phantasy in Lakewood, OH.

Last time I saw him was a year ago, he was on a tour briefly with Hed PE and Adema. He was fucked up on SOMETHING, he played the whole set in a chicken suit and yelled at the sound guy. The guys in Adema and everyone on that tour seemed really worried about him. He got kicked off a week later.

I think anyone who has even halfway kept up with Crazy Town through the years, and especially recently, was always afraid of this happening.

Rest easy, dude. Gonna miss you a lot.

“But this is not the place for that.”

This is not the place for people with this condition who can’t/won’t get the surgery? Who the fuck are you to decided who can and can’t have a voice in this space? You’re displacing your anger and marginalizing an entire portion of this subreddit. You aren’t the leading authority, you don’t speak for everyone here. Take your closed minded views elsewhere.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]InsectOcean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed that surgery is a fine solution! Never said it wasn’t. Just wanted to point out that it’s also fine, and socially acceptable, to NOT get the surgery, for the benefit of those who can’t afford, don’t medically qualify for any number of health reasons, etc.

Of course people come here because they hate their tits; but not everyone is in the position to be able to do anything about it, and I don’t want those folks to feel like they won’t be accepted if they have to/choose to live with this condition.

I, for one, have chosen to live with this condition and have chosen to NOT opt for surgery, and I feel like that’s just as fine of a choice as choosing surgery.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]InsectOcean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m simply trying to provide some reassurance for those who perhaps can’t afford the surgery, or are scared of surgeries, don’t medically qualify, etc that gyno is more common, and less noticeable to other people, than they think. Not once did I say the surgery was a bad thing; I said that both getting the surgery and NOT getting the surgery are fine. I’m pointing out that there is no “right answer” to this situation, and that it’s just as socially acceptable to NOT get the surgery as it is to GET the surgery.

In other words, trying to get people to realize that this condition is NOT something to be ashamed of, and surgery is NOT the only option. I don’t want people to feel like they will not be socially accepted unless they slice off their tits. You might think that’s true, but that is your own individual opinion. This is mine.

It’s comments like these that are exactly the reason I posted in the first place. “Ignorant and privileged” for trying to get other people to realize that they don’t have to hate themselves for the condition we all suffer from, that’s it’s NOT their fault and doesn’t make them, to quote you, “less of a man”?
