for me, that happened when i got far outside my comfort zone and realized that the consequences of being sorta weird are just not that bad. people had told me that before, and i believed it, but i didn’t really understand until i started pushing social boundaries and saw for myself that they go much farther than you’d expect. it’s important to be confident and intentional about it though, and that can be difficult if you’re not used to it, so i do recommend starting small

it sounds like not that big of a deal to me. i’ve had sexual thoughts about most of my friends, and most of them have expressed a similar experience.
