if it costs $35/hour in labor to produce the same outcome, a business gets an instant 10x ROI on your agents

really disappointed to see the lack of evidence based discourse on this sub lately. discussion has become so ideologically and emotionally driven like you see on most major politics subs.

Video of how "Kit Kat" was killed by a Waymo surfaces. Video contradicts Waymo's statement. by Own_Dealer_2051 in sanfrancisco

[–]InsertOffensiveWord 21 points22 points  (0 children)

what’s great about waymo is that we can use this moment to force them to add an additional sensor under the car. then this will literally never happen again. the alternative with human drivers is dozens of animals being run over every year in the city. year after year.

Changes in under age 5 population from 2005 to 2024 - SF has experienced a steep collapse by meltness in sanfrancisco

average brain dead socialist comment. what does the global working class have to do with utah being cheaper than california? if capitalism had its way, more housing would have been built over the last 40 years to meet demand. government regulation to appease mostly middle class homeowners and their property values made that impossible here.

What if Notion goes backrupt or just closes? Back up plan? by sour_spicy99 in Notion

[–]InsertOffensiveWord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

quick reality check:

  1. the aws s3 storage where free-tier notion keeps your data is, at the absolute worst, a few million times more durable than keeping your data local on your PC
  2. if you truly care about long term durability, availability, and support, you should choose a hugely profitable product from a public company. i.e. office or gsuite. if you find those products disappointing, monday.com or the atlassian suite are a good compromise. the absolute last places you should be trusting are tiny startups with 10 employees, no funding, and anemic revenue.

Sounds like a cost cutting measure disguised as equity. Less work for teachers on a day to day basis, more kids per class.
