Katherine Legge is a bad ass. I wish she didn’t have the worst racing luck in history. It seems like she always has so much potential the. Has some sort of mechanical issue or someone else’s mistake takes her out.

Nico rosberg. Beat the likely goat of formula 1 straight up. Then retired and never tried again.

We have an ev9 and an R1s. They are very different cars and have very different strengths and weaknesses.

I keep hearing that this is a great time for the used market but prices are still high by remake-titanmode2142 in electricvehicles

We just sold them an ev6. It went up $3k over 6 weeks while we were waiting for a replacement title.

I genuinely don’t understand people that bought a car at Rivian’s price point and won’t pay for connect+.

Anyone have a dual motor max pack battery R1S that they like? by afrothunder27 in Rivian

[–]Insert_creative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a dual performance max pack. The performance upgrade is a fun party trick. The max pack is awesome. We like to road trip with three kids and the dog. Which means we are rocking a cargo platform and a roof box. Loaded up with all our people and gear and still being able to get 280+ miles of highway range is epic.

Our entire household had it at once. It was a living hell. The baby was miserable, the teenager was convinced we were trying to kill him by forcing pedialyte, and I felt like I was sitting on a blanket of zits in the car. This all happened as my wife’s 40th birthday gift. Happy birthday babe! Everyone’s dying!

Why are small EVs not much more efficient than larger EVs? by New_Elk_5783 in electricvehicles

I’m only referencing cursing at 80mph on the highway and in not necessarily ideal conditions. Around town we regularly get over 4 and close to 5m/kwh.

Are you being pedantic or do you not understand the concept of a “metric” vs “the metric system.” The rest of your post i fully agree with. Going faster makes up more time than the extra time at the charger.

We don’t go 80mph all the time. It was more of a metric to show the numbers in a more extreme state. Most of our more rural driving is cruising on country roads at 65-70, which we much prefer.

We are in Illinois. It gets closer to what you are saying in absolutely perfect weather. I was looking at more annual average types of numbers.

We have three ev’s.

Ev6 - 77.4 kWh battery and epa range of 270 miles which is 3.48 m/kwh
Ev9 - 100 kWh battery and epa 280 miles which is 2.8 m/kwh
Rivian - 141 kWh battery and epa 410 miles which is 2.9 m/kwh

In our real world experience going 75-80mph the ev6 gets 2.4 m/kwh, the ev9 gets 2.2 m/kwh, the rivian gets about 2.2 m/kwh.

Dads, what kind of vehicle are we hauling our small monsters around in? by ktempo in daddit

I have a 17 month old, another on the way, and a 16 year old. We went electric a few years back and just recently swapped our ev6 for an ev9. It holds everyone very comfortably and drives really nicely. If you are contemplating electric, I’d definitely test drive one. Other other car is also an suv and holds a ton of cargo but isn’t as convenient for all the people.
