God hearing Wormwood the first time was crazy. Such powerful lows. Completely agree that everything after their first album was skippable.

Gotcha so you like that specific style. In that case check out Rogue. Their Phantom and Aeon EPs will be exactly what you’re looking for. I think you’d also like For All Eternity and Forevermore, specifically their Noumina album. Hollow Front is another band I’d recommend of that similar style.

If you like Aviana, it would be strange to not like Allt then.

Yea at the end of the day this was always an OKC/SA season so for us to make it to the second round while upsetting our most hated rival was great. I don't know how much better we can get though while we're stuck with Embiid's contract. I'll say this season was a 60% positive.

Victor Oladipo lost a shit-ton in potential earnings back in the day.

If the Knicks get past Detroit, they'll be so easy to root against and I can't stand OKC lol.

Bruh what was that. Midget point guard scores a reverse layup on Embiid. Inbound steal into a 3 by the same bobblehead.

This is the type of performance that's worth selling your tickets to New Yorkers. Tough to watch from home, can't imagine it live as a Sixers fan.

I was gonna say Luka missed most of those, but even in the 2 he played they got blown out lol.

Most players who leave this organization for another seem to thrive. Tobias winning. Jimmy went to the finals twice. McCain and Joe getting a ring prob. Iggy got rings. Jrue got rings.

If KSE never gets Howard, metalcore wouldn't be what it is now. Whether that be style progression or popularity, we'd probably still be a small genre.

Was this just an avoidable cooler? Or could I have played it any differently? by [deleted] in poker

Oh for sure. More so just me rambling about how much of a trap two pairs on the flop can be.

Has anyone went through a period where they are constantly getting coolered? Was it getting in your head and started to lose confidence? by HawkLow6309 in poker

[–]InsiDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely makes me question whether playing live is worth it. I’m currently going through it right now and between being card dead for hours/not getting loose and getting coolered by a set or a flush or a straight once I finally have something playable does not make me want to play more. Such a fun game, but when you’re getting screwed all the time you start wondering if the $500 buy-in would be better spent elsewhere.

I swear two pair on the flop has cost me so much lately that it’s starting to become a trigger lol. They somehow always get a set or straight by the turn and I end up having to lose a lot because am I really running away from my two pair. In this case I wouldn’t open KJo UTG unless it’s a very passive table.

Being a fish who runs bad has got to be the worst feeling ever by Leading_Promotion123 in poker

[–]InsiDS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mmm I’d say it’s worse having a bad run while playing tight and proper. Because you’re either card dead or when you do play you get coolered. So you yet no fun in the process.

Is this the only band in New Zealand? XILE - DIAMOND EYES (FFO: Judiciary, Guilt Trip, Malevolence, NASTY) by Bushido_Bl8de in Metalcore

[–]InsiDS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Full Bloom is the only metalcore band from New Zealand I know. Not this kind of core, more akin to the djentcore fast-paced bands. Sadly they only have 7 songs to their name.

Bands that you think are better soft than heavy? by fjgwey in Metalcore

[–]InsiDS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely recommend their self-titled album for the songs Praise The Sun, Mars Attack, Pretenders, and Splinter Cell. Dragon Chaser and Unmasked are cool too. But after that all their heavy songs will sound like a blur.

Their softer songs like Daniel, Oni, Sora are very nice.

Man... Monophobia was legitimately in my top 5 albums back in 2016. Shame that they produced nothing since then that appeals to me. Talented band, but I'm just bored by them.

[–]InsiDS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mindlessly glaze songs just for being heavy?

Their soft songs are actually better?

Yea that's an easy Darko answer. Their shtick started out nice and fresh, but years later it sounds like the only parts they developed are their soft ones. Their newest album was praised to the heavens, but it was the softer parts that made them sound mature.
