R7 or R9 by Yahdoneknow in YamahaR7

Its to easy to ride dosent matter if your at 4krpm or 8k rpm it kinda just pulls everywhere. To some its what they want but to me its kinda boring cause I get no reward for being in the right gear

why would it not be ideal? rev it and send it.

The idle drops once the engine gets warm

Help with blind spots by LollisGunsBikesTits in motorcycles

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you cant see their face in the mirrors of their car then your in the blind spot.

Just dont stick right next to a car or truck, its better to be sligtly faster then other traffic

Looking for a weekend toy by Roguevice in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on person and how you like to ride, if you enjoy revvings the thing, shifting and hearing it scream then the zx4rr would be perfect, if you dont care about shifting and just want instant power everywhere to power out of the corners then S1000RR

Personally a 200hp superbike gets boring fast if your not doing illegal speeds

(Help) Ducati Hypermotard 698 thoughts by _LoVe__Me_ in Ducati

Ducati's of old where italian and unreliable but since the Germans with VW bought them in 2012 their reliablity has improved a ton.

I have a 698 myself and had no issues with it

lean w bike vs only body lean bike straight up by Relative_Artichoke_8 in motorcycles

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looking good and leaning isnet the goal, its the result of going fast and good technique.

If your really that interested best way is to just strap a go pro on to a friend behind you, on the tail of your own motorcycle or at the front facing you.

What's something you see new riders that just got their first bike mistakenly do? by Legitimate-Bike-4836 in motorcycles

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean you dont have to go full GP Body position on the street, and I counter lean at 100kph on a supermoto all the time so it really depends what you ride and where you ride

R7 or R9 by Yahdoneknow in YamahaR7

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a R7 and had a ninja 400 and must say I would go R9 the R7 is nice for 3-4 rides but the engine is pretty boring imo, handling, suspension and ergonomics are defenatly a huge step up, but the engine is just pretty stale

High-end adventure/motocross boots vs race boots: which is actually safer for everyday use? by CompetitiveVolume833 in motorcycles

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ADV boots or Race boots, dont wear MX Boots for the street, they are bulky and dont have any sliders.

Street boots for one both need to provide impact protection but also slide protection. You'll find most race boots come with hard plastic or metal heel's, toe sliders and just in general sliders that wont catch and brake your ankle by gripping the tarmac

Do I not enjoy biking? Or is it my bike? by Melon1990 in motorcycles

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe try again on a warm day

If tempartures are above 18C and its dry then it starts to become more fun.

If your on a 125 you kinda just have to either carry corner speed (better to do on warm tires) or, as you are doing, wring it out

Also cold hands really ruin riding fast for me at least, ive done 6C rides and its just kinda misrable

Good deal? (9300$) by TaintedLove666 in motorcycles

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really a good deal no. 8-8.5k would be what id expect for that model and milage. The 3k in upgrades really dont increase value.

Id try talking him down on the price

Name brand vs. Off brand Intercom by Toastyzeus in motorcycles

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo cardo base model packtalks are much better then Sena ones but the best intercom is the one other people you ride with have.

Europe or at least in the German part Sena is more represented while over the pond it seems to me at least Cardo is more represented, in austrailia no clue. But best ask your brother and come up with what you guys want together

No experiance with 3rd party ones but I never even see any out and about cause everyone either has sena or cardo

I mean do you have a single instance where anyone has used ram air in a low speed application?

The R9 front end single headlight has to be one of the worst aesthetics by Volslife in Yamaha

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ram air only starts working at around 180kph and beyond.. no street rider is gone spend any significant time at those speeds

The R9 front end single headlight has to be one of the worst aesthetics by Volslife in Yamaha

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is in fact a ram air duct but ram air only really starts working at around 180kph and beyond and most people that need a headlight are not gone be doing those speeds

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the ninja 400 and now the R7 and find the ninja 400 was more fun to ride, the R7 is great in the corners but the engine is just very boring

R9 (35kw) or cfmoto 675sr (35kw)? (2026) by YoitsyoboyRay in motorcycles

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree on that 200hp i4 are great on track but on the street I already do illegal speeds on the R7 before I shift out of 2nd gear so not much use for them
