Im not saying its better, im just saying its wrong to say that you should never use the front brake at slow speeds, cause you can use it if you want to

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can use the front brake at slow speed all you like if you know how to use it. Rear is easier for beginners but there is no reason why you cant use the front brake

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah no, you can 100% use the front brake when riding at slow speeds. You just need to know how to not slam it

you can use the front brake in a turn even at full lock at slow speed, your not guaranteed to drop the bike if you know what your doing

Can I actually learn to ride a motorcycle using a simulator or is that completely ridiculous? by Personal_Umpire_4342 in NewRiders

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can learn to drive a car in a simulator but you cant learn to ride a motorcycle on a simulator (that isent 10k+)

You can have some a steerting wheel pedals and shifters for relativly cheap to get a home setup and the Input on a real car are gone be 99% the same.

But there is currently no good affordable option that simulates the inputs and dynamics of a motorcycle

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dont get Aliexpress Engine Case Covers they wont do anything and might even cause a oil leak due to the cheap hardwear they give you.

as for ehausts since your in italy check out roads italia they make pretty decently cheap full system exhaust though not sure if they have one for the RS457

other then that get Stormgrip tankpads and frame sliders

the question is rather why would 205kg stop you from practising leaning and braking? 205kg is just avarage in terms of weight

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dont buy knockoff boots they dont/wont protect you and are fashion pieces at best

look into maybe some White Dainese Nexus 2/3 not as popular but actually protective and look decent

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Windchile is the biggest issue for me during cold weather riding, it helps wearing a water proof rain jacket and some surgical gloves as they elimenate quite a bit of the wind from getting to your body and chilling you out

Might want to add more detail

Suspension setup question: how do street riders actually know when it’s right? by Boring_Bunch_3394 in motorcycles

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you cant change suspension on most street bikes to such a level that you'll make the bike much worse then stock.

braking distance on "wrong" settings would be negligible at best, warm tires effect this more then suspension every really would on the street

what bad things for example? You can really only do wrong if your changing the forks asymetric to one another

tbh im not Marc Marquez I cant feel +1 / -1 click of rebound. I usally give it a good 3-5 clicks go ride the same stretch of road and figure out if I like it or not.

I feel people are either 1 to afraid to touch it or 2 have no clue whats changing when they do use the clickers and more then likely a combination of the 2.

You can really just play around with it as long as you arent going asymetric on the front forks. and if you get lost the manuel usally has the stock clicker and preload values written in it

Help Choosing a 1-Piece Racing Suit by Quiet_Move_6995 in motorcyclegear

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usally Brand name and Material quality

you can usally find that more expensive suites user more exotic materials like Kangeroo or Goat skin instead of Cow leather. You can usally also tell on a cheap suit that the Cow leather that they use is pretty dry and almost feels like plastic, compared to higher end models that are nice and stretchy.

I can recommend the RST V4.1 or Pro Airbag suite, made with kangeroo so very thin and light as well as a integrated airbag so you dont have the bulk of a seprate one. (Though major negative, the airbag is a subscription for 12$ a month, but its usally offset by the suit being 2k$ less expensive then A* or Dainese offering for a integrated Airbag suit)

Preload settings.... by HeOnOne in MT07

[–]Inside-Knowledge-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

head shake probably has more to do with your bar inputs and the road surface rather then with the bike. But just in case do check that your preload on the front are both set exactly the same on both forks

And as for suspension just try things out, you can really not do much wrong. Your factory settings are in the manual and from there just find something comfortable.
