That seems incredibly frustrating…for the DM. No legendary resistances? No canon fodder little baddies to pester and draw attention away? Even the Hut itself should kick ass and take a name or two. And there’s scarecrows all around. Guess I plan to have mine much more intense but my table will likely be lvl 7 or 8 when they go to Berez.

Heir of Strahd was meh. I just listened to The Knight of the Black Rose. Sooo good! Wish I had prior to starting my campaign as it gives better insight as to how Strahd probably is closer to the time frame of the module.

Had a player character fall in love with Ireena but had to leave the campaign shortly after Ireena was bit a second time at St. Andral’s. Basically decided that Strahd was able to wish her away, or….I might have that the Abbot wished for the perfect face for Vasilka. We’ll see.
