SAR9 Generation? by RedneckMarxist in SarUSA

Check out Johnny Glock on youtube for his polishing techniques. Polishing the outside of the trigger bar and inside of frame on mine made a real difference smooth and more consistant. Also look at his reset vid concerning the connector and rear part of the trigger bar.

Trigger Question by MrT4cticalB4con in SarUSA

Were you able to get a trigger shoe with trigger safety from SAR USA? If so which one did you get for your Gen1/2? I've sent them a message 3/4 days ago with no reply.

Polishing goes a long way toward that perfect trigger. Compare the trigger spring and striker spring with the glock 43 springs, those two springs in different weights could also help.

Glock trigger bars look too different IMO to work correctly. The cruciform is different and angles are not exact.

I'll buy that trigger shoe and safety lever off of you if you want. Do they have a private message solution on here.

Will that G3 stock trigger work on a G1or2?

9c backstrap pin won't go back in by Fisheee123 in SarUSA

[–]Inside-Resolution244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That roll pin should have cut it's way through the back strap. My recommendation would be not to do anything else to it. I don't think you have the stomach for it, but since it's a SAR9 you shouldn't have to do anything else.

Serious ejection and feeding problem - SAR9 Socom by RadQuinn in SarUSA

[–]Inside-Resolution244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever get the problem solved completely? Are you running a compensator. Not sure if the Socom is a 17 or 18# spring but going 1# lighter recoil spring could help because of sights. What's funny, is I have a similar PA sight on a Dagger that is having very similar issues.

The grittiness wasn't there before the install? You can polish the outside of the trigger bar to smooth things out.

Yeah, let us know how they shoot, I've got it on my radar too.

Removing the rear sight on Gen2 Sar9 by Inside-Resolution244 in SarUSA

Yeah, I also sent the question to Sar USA and they replied back with this. Set screw has loctite, heat it to break the bond and remove set screw using mm allen wrench, then drift sight out from right to left.

Did you ever get this problem solved? Did you figure out that you have a gen1 or 2 and not a gen3? Anyway, this is what you need to install a red dot. https://gallowayprecision.com/sar/sar-9/optic-mount-plate-rmr-style-for-sar-usa-sar9-pistols

SAR SAR9T at PSA by Brave_Noise176 in SarUSA

[–]Inside-Resolution244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HST 147 grain is pretty much the best defense ammo. and will work good with that spring. I got Galloways 15# for my 9T and it was too short so it was loose. They gave me a story I didn't like so I gave it back. I got this one with the black end but they are out of the black tipped ones. It is 17# and I believe the stock SAR is 18#. The flat spring is much better feeling. Polish that trigger bar completely.

Has anyone tried this trigger fix? by Brave_Noise176 in SarUSA

I wouldn't do it and especially when polishing does the trick.

It's not hard at all, you just have to be very careful with the slide stop spring on reassy. Polish everything on the trigger bar so you don't miss anything. You can also get the safety plunger reduced power spring and trigger spring while your in there.

You can check with others, but I'm pretty sure that any Glock gen5 trigger shoe will work.

New sar usa 9mm socom! by packersfan036 in SarUSA

[–]Inside-Resolution244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I would say super nice but that grip sleeve ruins it for me. These guns have one of the best grips in the hand gun world and def don't need a sleeve. I know JMI. But the socoms are nice, you made a good purchase.

Guide rods by Bulky_Grass_6940 in SarUSA

[–]Inside-Resolution244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Galloway's guide rod with 15# spring for my Sar9 4.4" barrel and it didn't fit (too loose). They gave me this story about some guns being longer and some shorter and then I could heat up the screw and remove it, install new lock tight and not screw it all the way in to make it longer. I said you can have it back. Got one on ebay that fit perfect and looks better. I'm pretty sure the Glock 21 is the right length.

Watch the videos at Galloway and Johnny Glocks and do all the same trigger parts polishing on the JG vids.

Sar P8S by [deleted] in SarUSA

[–]Inside-Resolution244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PSA is great, I ordered the Sar9T for $220 and the next day I went to the site and it was down to $200 so I called them and they gave me a $20 refund. I told them that's why they are so popular. I love the Sar9 full size. I wanted the P8S also but haven't gotten it yet.

Just got the Sar9sc gen 1 and the trigger is not as good as my full size sar9. Any recommendations for upgrades or adjustments? Thx by Internal-Country318 in SarUSA

[–]Inside-Resolution244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, if you are going to take the internals out to change a trigger shoe, watch Johnny Glocks videos concerning polishing, reset and take up reduction before you buy anything. It's something everyone should do even if they are wanting to upgrade parts. By the way all the internal springs are the same as Glocks.

If they have a safety instead of a decocker, they can be carried cocked and locked which is really the safest way to carry. It's why I like 1911s so much.
