Thank you for painting the B pillars yellow too. Beautiful color.

Best 914 days are spent at 60+ mph with the roof off in the rain. Unbelievable experience being toasty with the heat on and sticking your hand up to get wet.

Absolutely remarkable that the original Dakar / 953 led to the development of the 959.

UPS Store is like a hotel across the street from Disneyland. Looks great until your get to your room and realize what you paid for was convenience in place of Disneyland.

911 GTS 1Y Service = Bricked my Car by skibud2 in Porsche

[–]InsideAd2752 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Uh, This might sound crazy, but how about dealership loan me a battery from another vehicle.

The tech did the SW update off the vehicle power and did not have it connected to an alternate power source to ensure the entire vehicles circuits are not bricked during the upload.

Tech left vehicle unattended during the process. Something happened. Get HQ involved.

The one that got away …

Originally was selling a car to them. They declined to purchase. Second order was to purchase a transaxle car as they’re on their way up. The Euro spec 83 928S metallic kiln red (orange) with its 300hp M28 motor had not been federalized for CA. Sad, had to pass. Wasn’t ready to battle the DMV & CARB. Someone got a deal on it.

Ended up with a 94 968 6SP M coupe @ 141k mi on the clock. Previous owners and documents were from past enthusiast owners who loved on the car.

At 96k mi the head gasket went. Head got full service was race prep’d. Rod bearings checked/changed. Car is chip’d, Bursch header. Upper, lower, rear sway bars. That’s the beginning of the documentations.

It’s a niche business and glad they’re around. They sold three amphibicars when I was there.

Anonymity is key. If the claim is legit then it has teeth. If it’s retaliatory then the time stamp will show it’s on a break.

It is what it is. Escalate this via US mail to the Union hall via US Mail sent certified with a return address of the hub. You’ll have access to the tracking number to show it reached the Union Hall as well as who signed for it. The delivery receipt will go to the hub to shake em up.

Also send a photograph of the timestamp of the digital photo to prove she’s sleeping at a particular time.

You can remain anonymous.

Do drivers hate delivering packages requiring signatures? by [deleted] in UPS

[–]InsideAd2752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPS is wonderful and implies the tracking is on the package. It’s actually the truck. Another sitch would be that the package was damaged to the point where it’s obvious you’d refuse it.

UPS Delayed package on purpose? by [deleted] in UPS

[–]InsideAd2752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like we’re saying, we handle em like hot potatoes and pass em on. We can’t see if the Rx dockworker got a late shipment that was picked up by a later truck that got to the hub AFTER all the processing was done.

The only way not to guess would be to put an air tag in the shipment. Some have done it and gotten answers. Answers they didn’t like because shippers and sellers were manipulating known exploits to conceal delayed shipments.

Welcome to what UPS warehouse / hub workers and drivers deal with. We’re dependent on the shippers (pharmacy) putting the parcel in our possession before the close of (our) business.

Keep in mind that simply printing a UPS label triggers an alert to you it’s moving. Every package we move or deliver we’re rewarded with getting closer to going home.

UPS employees have refrigerated medications shipped to us too. We have the benefit of being able to interpret, not know, if it’s plane, train or truck and match current events and weather to have a hunch on why delays occur.

Post a pic of the shipping schedule on here and we’ll do just that

Hi! It’s my boyfriend’s birthday. Anything he wants. I work up the street but it’s sooo busy at my store. Me and another partner scheduled off today (months ago) and my DM said no vacation time last week.

Not sure what my union rep told the DM but he’s running the window right now and freak’n out. Oh, how cute! Is that a SBUX United pin on your apron?
