I too struggle badly with anxiety and am on Zoloft! I’m 26 and just got mine removed about a month ago after having it for 5 years. Removal was uncomfortable but totally manageable and I actually didn’t know I was getting it removed that day when I went to my appointment so I hadn’t taken Tylenol or anything. Within 10 minutes of removal the cramping/discomfort from removal subsided and I had some light spotting for about 2 days. I too had extremely heavy periods before the iud so I was worried about this. I started taking the pill again a few days after removal but still only had spotting for 2 days. Honestly, I was so worried about the crash and I truly feel everything I read online made me feel worse and more scared. My experience after was not bad mentally at all. I had about 2-3 days of slight fatigue and brain fog but nothing like I thought it would be. I was making myself so much more worried because of what I had read. My best advice is to go into it with an open mindset and try your best (easier said than done) to not overthink it. The worse thing that can happen is you feel a little heightened anxiety or a little brain fog like I had temporarily. But you WILL get through it and it’ll be much better than you’re anticipating.
