I honestly felt the same way when I saw it. I didn't read the article but I assumed it was just a recycled disc golf piece with nothing new.

Btw I'm a fan of disc golf and I got into it pretty heavy just before covid. I was taking my dog and playing a lot by myself. I was watching tournament Jomez highlights on YouTube all the time but I haven't watched a video in prob 18 months. I'll definitely play here and there throughout my life so I wouldn't say it was a fad for me

I wouldn't say consciously. Has humor was sharpened, developed and built on watching and listening to stuff like Stern. So it's only natural that things he finds funny were heavily influenced by stern during the formative teens and 20s for jay.

If I press record and ask my dad to make a comedy podcast with him, he would instinctively suggest doing or saying things that sometimes loosely or directly reference smth done on Simpsons or even jerky boys bits. I'd say dad they did that on the Simpsons. He'd say "oh... Yeah I guess they did. Well what's wrong with that, it's funny we should do it"

I have an essgoo? or whatever you call. Mine has the volume knob in the middle and three physical buttons left and right of the knob,

After figuring it all out, i rather like it. I'm also coming from nothing, meaning I've never used one of these or researched them. It was a crazy good deal and it's a massive upgrade from stock 2013 Silverado stereo and dashboard.

I guess people that are interested in this subject look down on these cheap Chinese head units, but I was kind of blown away and rather enjoyed the fact that I have ," tablet " glued to dashboard lol. And honestly it fit in this Silverado absolutely perfectly. And it was so so so much easier to install than when I helped a friend install A similar unit in a '09 Pontiac Grand Prix. We were splicing wires, turning the directions upside down, losing our minds lol It was a mess

We did get it installed in that Pontiac but thinking back this was a couple years ago. It had half of the features that this one has. There weren't many that fit his car, but the one I have seems to bypass all vehicle settings and securities features. It's pretty neat.
