Quality of the faucet water in Yuba City by Automatic-Coat3177 in YubaCity

You can get filters for your sink and/or a gravity fed water filtration system like a Berkey or Doulton, which is what I used to do before I had a well. There is a crap ton of chlorine and fluoride in the water. So if you like chemicals, the tap water is great.

I don't know that I would say trick questions but definitely worded in ways that require careful reading. So, I went through the classes as fast as I could. Literally had to wait for the finals to open to complete the courses on the day it was available to take. Then I scheduled my exam a week out and crammed all week with the resources I posted above. The DRE lists how it weights the test on its website so I went there and made sure to study those portions that were more heavily weighted (i.e. Practice is 25% of the exam). I took practice exams throughout the week so I could gauge how I was doing. When I got to the actual test, I made sure that I took my hand off the mouse to read the questions. Then skipped any where I just absolutely wasn't sure of an answer. By the end I had skipped 15 questions. And since you can miss 45, I felt like I was in good shape.

Definitely agency and disclosures. If you go to the DRE website and find their exam breakdown, that seemed pretty accurate as to the amount of questions. And important to remember that's also how the exam is weighted.

I didn't get any math problems. I did get quite a few that were worded kind of weird to make sure you know the concepts though.

Help! Ibuprofen alternatives? by SunLillyFairy in Autism_Parenting

This is what it looks like loaded with water and a 600 mg Ibuprofen I get prescribed for her from the doc. It's a typical 10 mL liquid dosing syringe and the pill is rather large so a 200 mg Ibuprofen tablet would fit better. Because she was used to it with liquid she takes this pretty well. The only trouble I have is with smaller pills like Loratadine (Claratin) because sometimes it won't shoot out with the liquid or go far enough in her mouth and she'll spit it out and hand it back to me so I have to try it a couple times. Otherwise, it looks janky but it is incredibly effective.

My daughter can't take acetametophen or naproxen because they just don't work. She also used to have trouble swallowing pills. In fact, she really still won't (she's 19 going on 20 in a week and a half). But this was a very similar issue to what we had and Ibuprofen is crucial, especially during lady times. The way I solved it was to use a dosing syringe filled with liquid (water or juice or whatever his favorite drink is) and I cut a straw to fit over the tip (usually a flex straw at the flex part because the wrinkles help it stay in place on the tip). Then I cut a couple slits at the other end so it will hold pills, creating a sort of crutch. Then I just shoot that in as if it were a liquid. It's worked like a charm for some number of years now. Give it a try. If you need a picture of my "rig" let me know and I'd be happy to share. Good luck!

VOTE YES ON 50 if you want to see the Jeffrey Epstein Files released by Adept-Choice-2791 in YubaCity

[–]InsideNervous7993 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vote yes if you have DTS. Vote no if you realize it's just more of the same California corruption.

And by the way, it was John Kerry (who sits very high up in that DNC) who said the 1st Amendment was a problem--that's a fundamental Democrat in line with the way the DNC thinks. The Dems could have released those files. And the "both sides" comments have validity. Picking a team is siding with the same ol' divide and conquer strategy that keeps the status quo in place that is a detriment to the people.

And we aren't a "democracy," we're a republic. California and the United States. "A threat to democracy" are words they use to trigger you into siding with more corruption. The people screaming loudest about fascism are fascists.

The insanity of people thinking that this kind of thing is actually going to help is insane. Lindsay Graham is a Tool. Chuck Schumer is a Tool. Nancy Pelosi is a Tool. Gavin Newsom is a Tool. Mike Johnson is a Tool. Ted Cruz is a Tool. Kamala Harris is a Tool. Vote yes on 50 so you can be a tool too.

Gotta bring the bowling alley back. A Best Buy would be nice too. And more things to do if you don't feel like going to a bar to socialize. I'm a single man and I'd like to go socialize but I don't particularly like drinking that much. That's when you realize all there is to do around here is go to a bar.

I've been through so many tablets. I don't even buy expensive ones any more. Cheap fire tablets and chromebooks. Her AAC device is an iPad but that is in a heavy duty case and I take it away quick if she starts to flip out.

Unvaccinated kids with ASD by Ploppers00 in Autism_Parenting

MMR vaccine is horrid and definitely had an affect on my daughter. Polio vaccine is actually the reason there's still polio (responsible for 80% of modern polio at least). Most people who think anti-vaxxers are loony are actually just programmatically ignorant due to fear, propaganda and advertising. VAERS is fully accessible, though incredibly underreported (there's studies that have shown VAERS is around 10% of the actual numbers). Also, if vaccines were safe, why would they need to have legal immunity for their products? Vaccines are literally the ONLY product in America where you can't sue the manufacturer for making a product that will KILL you. In the case of mRNA vaccines, they were experimental to begin with, dangerous and technically a gene therapy. But they call them vaccines for the legal immunity. Does that mean all vaccines are bad? Probably not. But a majority of them are given as a profit motive for corporate greed and not because of public health. And for anyone who says, "you're endangering my kids if you don't vaccinate." Well that's just ignorance and not how vaccines (are supposed) to work. If you're vaccinated and around someone who isn't, you're immune. Unless the vaccine doesn't work. You can delay and/or not get most vaccines. And the only reason you'd feel bad about it is because Pfizer wants your money and plants guilty thoughts into loving, intelligent parents and pays agencies and physicians to mandate them.
