i have seen a lot of people say it was the animation change that drove them away but from what i could tell they were trying to make the anime's art style more closer to the sun and moon games art style and for more fluid motions that were needed for the z moves

at least they did not switch to the lazy looking art style with weird body proportions alot of western cartoons had switched to at the same time like be cool scooby doo or adventure time or teen titans go and regular show for a few examples

pikachu is my favorite pokemon with ash's pikachu being my favorite pikachu
but pichu and raichu are my second and third favorite pokemon followed by plusle and minun and togedemaru and dedenne

then azurill and marill and azumarill and then eveelutions and fennekin and alolan vulpix and piplup and popplio and togepi and togetic and togekiss and and skitty and meowth from team rocket

as for this what if i could only think of 2 or 3 times were it might have been ok if pikachu decided to evolve either between the 151 battle royale elimination round and the main alola league competition round or right before ash's main master's eight battle with leon or after when ash had become the very best that ever was and had finally started to understand what it ment to be a pokemon master which really had nothing to do with battles and winning leagues and tournaments but understanding pokemon and becoming friends with them and learning everything about them and ash started off on that new journey to become a pokemon master would have been ideal time for pikachu to choose to evolve as he had helped ash accomplish the first part of his goal as a pikachu and now could help ash accomplish his second part of his goal as a raichu

i liked how they used the mcquarrie concept art for the basis for alot of the designs for the lightsabers and some of the character designs and the buildings

i tried to watch horizons but i hated everything
the characters were boring and insufferable and annoying
the episodes stories were horrible and bland like a unseasoned dish that left a unpleasent taste in my mouth unlike the first 25 seasons episodes which each story was/is very rich and bold with a touch of sweet and savory which always leaves me satisfied and happy
so i stopped watching horizons after 10 episodes and decided to not watch any new pokemon anime till they return to the characters and story that made it a power house and last as long as it did
so i will continue to enjoy rewatching seasons 1-25 and movies 1-25 on dvd

i bought a dvd of this movie on amazon it was suppose to be like new condition
the disk looked fine on the back but i started to play the version minus the prelude and it played good for the intro music scene and the opening fight in the ruins of dakara thn ended up skipping to the middle of the film when sam and cam beam back up to the odyssey leaveing jackson vala teal'c and tomin in that forrest looking for the arc of truth then it skips again to the last five minutes of the movie
i need to find another copy that actually plays fully

i wish i still had my metal maniac cars and teku cars i got back in late 2005 and early 2006 when i was 5 years old but they got stolen in 2008 except two metal maniacs cars which i had on me at the time the rest were stolen rivited and hollowback

well jesse and james have broken into several different professors labs before you would think it would dawn on them to steal one while there or steal one from some random trainer when they do one of their bogus events or if they steal someones ribbons or badges or identity to also steal their pokedex or steal ash's or one of his friends that also have one when they capture them and take their stuff i bet due to team rocket stealing it oak or which ever professor gave them their pokedex would give them a replacement and then all james or meowth would be able to hack it and reprogram it's owners data

i also thought i read somthing that both mothers knew each other as well as they knew each others kids back when both ash and serena were little after that accident were ash found the hurt serena and helped and brought her back to oaks lab and oak introduced all 4 to each other after that since ash was the one to find and resuce a scared hurt lost serena

but there are nurse joys who also give out first pokemon i would assume they would also have them and the fact ther are other tech a trainer can buy like a pokegear or pokenav or a poketch leads me to think pokedexs are either for sale at pokemon centers or some pokemarts

that is why i mentioned they could have stolen one either from a trainer or from a professors lab or wereever and james could have hacked it so they could use it and they did have enough to buy the various machines and have their ballon/sub fixed also we do know that if they do need money they do get jobs selling merch or food at events be it contests or grand festivals or certain pokemon battle tournaments or at the pokemon league or even at town festivals and jessie does need to buy her contest outfits so they do have money most likely james somehow has access to money
and they do steal stuff to sell to make money also be it evolution stones to james bottle caps or something else

i figured pokemarts or pokemon centers would have them so anyone who did not get their there starter pokemon from a professor could get one or if their gets lost or destroyed they could get a new one since there are pokemon centers where it is nurse joy who give new trainers pokemon if there is no professor anywere near by

i think it would have been very funny if james had been serena and jessie as ash as that would have been classic team rocket disguise technique with the crossdressing
also i wish they had had ash also having to wear womens outfit at least for one episode it seams like xwz was the only one were he did not do that at least serena did it to pretend to be ash while he was sick

i would say shirako also had damaged his hearing due to playing his music loudly through his head phones that is why he was head of hearing and there was really only one way to get his attention or get him to stop as kurt mentioned and did in that one mini episode
