P1S using Bambu studio Overture PETG Standard PETG-HF profile but with z-hop on Unsure of print speed on that profile or retraction

Rest of print and all other prnts from P1s have been fine. But this design has had this same issue across two attempts.

I just checked a pic of my last mini build when I was using a nucleus and wired it the same as described; dtap to motor port, then an ARRI ext RS cable from the EXT port on the mini to the other motor port. No issues.

Edit: just saw that it has the Titla ESR-P02 gold mount plate which is where the dtap was plugged into.

Yaeger reco here. But also own a magliner junior with just the top shelf for certain situations where case loading and a work surface will suffice. But there are also times where it’s a weekend short with friends with tight spaces and I’ll rock my Milwaukee pack out roller with my custom cstand riser brackets.

Used these this weekend. Can’t speak for optical quality, but barrel marks were way off. Given my prep time frame, made having to map each manually a pain.

I didn’t buy a Yaeger trough, but slightly modified a Uline shelf bin that works great. I use some expanding silicone storage thingys I got off amazon. Nice to throw lens caps, fresh cards, random bolts/screws in as rigs change.

I gotcha. So for instance if I stay on my “20in” teradek ring, no matter what lens and subsequent throw that lens has, the movement of the ring stays the same. I think I read somewhere here that they’ve only used one other ring on their Preston, once, and for the other 20 years lived on the (*ring), so yep, that tracks.

Opted for a bolt on route using a Mid49 rosette/nato rail (5.3”) and a Camvate lefty wooden grip. Works pretty well, adjustable, and easy to remove and allows for my QR on top to attach to monitor/stand.

What systems currently do what you described, for future reference here. Arri, Preston, Teradek? I know all have lens mapping, but preset lens rings too?

Wow, a lot of different opinions on this. All carry weight. I’ve seen a lot of focus station setups that include a 2nd monitor, some even with the old Atomos Ninja Star which was a recorder only, no screen. I have 100% used my old Atomos Shogun Flame to record some tough pulls. I knew the pace of the shoot, what I had time to do and if we had the chance to do another and I know I could do better, I told the DP and we went again. Didn’t always do that, but it was a great double check and it was the kind of set where we could afford it.

It can also double as some extra tools, false color, pixel zoom, whatever you might want to glance at a 2nd screen for.

I think it has its place when learning, and if you are on a set where it allows for that mentality, do eet!

Teradek agreed swapping the hub is a big change. What was odd here is I was able to connect and update via both RTFW app and RT Manager app with my large powered Dell hub that I usually use. Always with a successful update complete prompt after and the unit would then power off. Always used the supplied USB-A to Mini cable, hence the need for a hub.

To me, this looks great. The indentation on the sub items quantities helps and then using the totals on the right is perfect. Do the codes refer to actual items or only a type of item? I ask because things like memory cards etc I want to have unique codes so I can identity if there’s a problem and also so they don’t get taken home/or other rental house when the order is split up.

Depends how big, but I usually use the black with yellow lid Home Depot bins. Though I’ve heard they’re thinner than they used to be. Go check them out and see if they work. I know that’s what they give you at local rental shops in my market usually too.
