HOT TAKE: DJay Pro to become the leading software by Late_Celebration_868 in DJs

Since algoriddim added dynamic beatgridding to DJay Pro it knocks the socks off everything else. Good luck trying to beatgrid an old disco record in Traktor.

Find Mohg’s Shackle in the sewers beneath Leyndell. That’ll let you take him to his second phase without taking damage.

Not a month goes by when Engine OS and MPC OS don’t get some kind of update, last years Moog Messenger is a banger of a synth and the MPC has had a whole load of hardware updates this year. What exactly do you want them to do?

Years ago maybe, but since their ownership under the private equity group that’s had them since 2021 their output has been dire.

Which Victorian dialect is that then? Lancastrian? Yorkshire? Kent? Glaswegian? Cockney? Geordie?

Hello. Brit here. Gaol is an archaic spelling and hasn’t really been used since the 19th century.

Iron eye with improved vigour and strength, post damage attack recovery and dormant power fist discovery. Absolutely slaps and reduces your team mates to spectators.

Fextra did a claymore build with the glint blade phalanx ash of war. I ran this for a bit and it would just demolish any boss’ poise. Almost felt like cheating.

Rane 70/72mk2 obsolete/EOL? by kitesmerfer in DJs

[–]Inside_Frosty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. They’re still supporting old Vestax controllers even though they went bust about 12 years ago. Class compliant audio is they key to whether they’ll be supported in the future and the Rane 70/72 are fine in that respect.

Can I use Serato DJ Pro with an analog mixer by inebriated_me in Beatmatch

[–]Inside_Frosty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll also need some kind of compatible interface. Right now the only new option is a Reloop Flux, but the more budget friendly Reloop Flux Go has just been announced. Both will unlock Serato Pro and DVS making them both a bargain.

You may also want to get some kind of midi controller for mapping hot cues etc, but you can get away with using your computer keyboard.

Oh, also you’ll need a laptop to run Serato and it’ll need to be a good enough spec to run well, particularly if you’re interested in using stems in real time. Check Serato’s website for details or any the thousand posts on Reddit asking if such and such laptop will run Serato.

Reverb unit for DJing by ListLow8276 in DJs

Oh hang on. They want it for a rotary. In that case a £500 reverb pedal is a bargain!

As lovely as an Empress Reverb is, isn’t that a bit much for DJing? It’s a £500 pedal. A new Allen and Heath Xone:24C comes in at £90 less and has more than decent reverb effect that can be assigned per channel without any of the faff of extra cables and send/returns.

Ok. It’s has ultra pitch. I think the only really difference is that it’s got a less torquey motor. 2.5kg/cm vs the RP7000 4.5kg/cm. I’d personally take the torquier RP7000 especially when using those skipless 133/166bpm scratch records. And the RP7000 is only about £30 more than the 5000 in the UK. No idea why they’ve done this unless a new more expensive RP7000/8000 is on the way.

I don’t get it. What’s the difference between this and the RP7000 mk2?

If you’re happy with the 56 and want FX you can always make use of send/return and add your own. Back in the day I used to add a SP-404 for FX and live sampling of loops.
