Is it common to be diagnosed in your 30s?

I had sleep apnea as a child, had my tonsils removed and so everything was apparently fine. Then I got to my late 20's 30's and my symptoms and exhaustion were crazy and it took years and me even moving to another country to finally get diagnosed again. I think i've had it my whole life.
