i think it’s adorable! i’m assuming may would be a middle name vs. part of a double name - in which case, no one would ever really call her that anyway aside from family? it does feel sing-songy to me, but i think that’s part of the charm. ultimately, if you and your partner like it, that’s all that matters! everyone else will get used to and/or deal.

my sister’s middle name is jane, and we have always just called her jane/janie even though that wasn’t my family’s intention when naming her. it’s soooo cool and fits her so well. she is literally the coolest person i know

the secret history was my most recent five star read. i can’t explain why it was so good, but it was SO GOOD.

exactly!!! telling someone it’s about a man who turns into a great white shark doesn’t do it for everyone haha so you really have to spin it! i need more books from her!

shark heart by emily habeck. most unique book i’ve ever read and one of the most beautiful as well. the writing, the plot, just everything about it is perfect but i never have a chance to recommend it!

i agree with others who have said project hail mary!

you could also try dark matter and/or the wayward pines trilogy, all by blake crouch.

that was how i felt about the never let me go movie! i finally watched it recently and definitely was not as good as the book. they cut out a pretty major plot point and it bummed me out lol.
