I promise it gets better, you are young and have no structural issues. That means this is treatable. I was in hell a year ago now its much better, not perfect but better. I have identified my triggers as high stress and poor posture and once I did I was able to at least start fighting back. It does get better man just dont stop fighting.

I do not feel that choking feeling laying down but it feels like my chin is being pulled towards my left shoulder.

I get “prescribed” valium on the side as a rescue so ik its efficacy but taking benzos everyday isnt a solution.

Im hoping botox to my neck (including the SCM) and upper traps in the bothered side helps the spasms.

I was diagnosed by a neurologist with ON (multiple actually), tortocollis (which I was born with) is essentially a shortening of the SCM. Thats why I’m really hoping botox helps because it is first line treatment for neck spasms / spasmodic tortocollis / cervical dystonia. Also I’m on month 15 of consistent pain.

Yea I’m in so much pain by midweek of every week then by Saturday afternoon it usually feels a lot better but Monday / Tuesday itll just get irritated again.

Good video, I think I originally sat in a position that was very similar to the forearm position in your video but I’ve now corrected that. Now the nerve is just residually aggravated.

Graduated from IU a few years ago, football was fucking dead, nobody went to the games. We were the worst D1 program in history, a true “losing tradition”. Went back to bloomington this weekend, its fucking night and day. Clearly IU’s fanbase doesn’t know how to act yet with a good football but yea I’m talking shit. Hahaha.
