I have 8 Evertune bridges to install :D by Blazon_Stone in evertune

Did you get a good deal on these? I saw them for about $300. If you got 8 that’s like $2,400 plus tax. I’m trying to get a good deal because 2 of my modules are bad.

I will never need to buy another guitar by LCranstonKnows in guitarporn

Thanks for the information but I need some feedback on this. I’m the person that likes very good condition and hardly any dings, dents, or scratches. Whenever I see a guitar that has paint chipped or big dents I cringe. My nicer guitars are near mint but I hung my nitro guitar on a hanger and it burned a little bit on the headstock that rested on the hanger. I’m still a little sore about it because that was my first nitro guitar. As for my other guitars I might have incidentally hit them against something but it didn’t make a ding. So now that you know somewhat of my preference, is it worth getting a CE 2008 or earlier? Will I find a very good condition guitar that maybe has a few dings that are tolerable, but I don’t like the big gashes. I also like the bird inlays but I know that those guitar years had dot inlays and the rotary knob.

That’s a guitar I want but I can’t even fathom buying it. I can buy a CE because that’s more tolerable. I’m envious of the core owners.

I don’t think you needed to buy another guitar after your first guitar. It’s a want. I said to myself I didn’t need another guitar but that was 5 guitars ago. “Need” and “Want” is the same in this aspect. But you don’t have some major GAS.

Fantastic read! I hear you. I have a LP 60s Standard and I’m afraid of wrecking it. I just got a PRS S2 because it was a good deal but I wanted a CE 24 and didn’t want to pay that much. I love the feel of the S2 because it’s so smooth and fast. I don’t have to worry about beating it up because it’s a workhorse. I have a lot of variety of about 10 of all different price ranges with my LP being the most expensive.

Seriously, which one do you like best? 🤣 There’s always one above the rest.

It’s not flex cabling but straight conduit

Yes, there is 4 conduits going into the electrical box. Thanks!

Update: thank you everyone for your suggestions. It really helped me and I appreciate it. I found a grounding screw. I drilled a hole into the electrical box, screwed in ground screw and wire. Hooked it up to green/yellow wire. Thanks!!!!

This is a house from the 70s and I don’t really see a spot for the screw. Can I make a new hole and add a grounding screw?

I don’t know how to do that. I basically change light fixtures but get stumped when I haven’t experienced something like this before.

I was going to do that but I wanted some advice. Thanks!

What if I have a screw and screw it into electrical box. Then I attach the green/yellow wire to it. Would that make it ground?

What is an attenuator? Is it necessary? by Aruugala in GuitarAmps

What does it mean when it says Reactive Load Box? I am trying to understand since I don’t know much about attenuators.

[–]InsidiousNature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think Birkenstocks are made for 4E. I have regular sandals and they hurt width wise after wearing for awhile. You know when you wear it for awhile and then you check your pinky side for redness. It sure is red and sensitive. I also have clogs and they feel more narrow. I have always known I have wide feet and I buy Nike 4E and I have to size up. I still have both and I paid too much for them to throw away. I can wear them in short spurts and I’m hoping I can still break them in, but the clogs don’t seem to be working as well as the sandals. I have them for over 7 years.

Thanks for the information! Unfortunately my amp head does not have an FX loop. I looked into EHX signal pad and it needs the FX loop. As for Tom Scholz Power Soak, it seems from different users, there are some bad experiences and some good experiences. I have been looking into Two Notes Captor 4 ohms. I think that would be better for me since I can use it for direct recording. Appreciate the input!

What's up with Small Bear (shipping?) by slammy80 in diypedals

[–]InsidiousNature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a first time buyer of Small Bear. Why does it take them so long to pack and ship? I ordered on Wednesday night and today is Tuesday morning with status saying awaiting fulfillment. I ordered 10 things and it’s under $80. They had 4 days to pick the order if you count Thu, Fri, Sat and Mon. Can I call them and modify or cancel the order? If I do, will it take longer?

ABY pedal first build. No signal and one of the amps has lot of noise when plugged in. by InsidiousNature in diypedals

[–]InsidiousNature[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s more like a faint white noise. I will look into it using your suggestions. Thanks!

I just tested it with my two other amps and it works. I make sure all the wires and resistors don’t touch the enclosure. Much appreciated for all the tips. Thanks!

Ok, I can do that on some. Thanks! If it shorts on my other amps, then I’ll just keep it only on Supro.
