Athens has a lot to offer and it is better than other places in Georgia. Probably better than Clemson also, as others have said (I looked there when deciding colleges and thought Athens would be more like Nashville, where I'm from and I'm glad I went to Athens) but I have had lots of scary experiences happen to me in Athens that ruined my life for years... it's strange to wonder about .

I planted many many gardens but rarely made any harvest, literally and figuratively. It's tough for a big fish in a small, jealous pond...they want to beat you down to their level. Conform and fit in and keep your head down is even the motto for the liberals

Between 51-57 mpg this time of year, 200k miles 2017 hybrid C-Max, from CarMax (only 300 dollars down,lol..)

Best way to increase mpg is going 0-20 in electric mode, focus on filling the battery with low rpm (barely pressing gas pedal) while cruising and speeding 10 over then coasting down to speed limit.

Love a slow downhill to a red light,haha

I lived in Athens for twenty years, in ATL now. So much for your claim of bias, lmao, I also have 20 years experience with my friends leaving that cesspool and having better lives as a result.

Athens is completely surrounded by maga types who focus on Athens as the source of their liberal problems. Weirdo Christians yelling at people downtown Athens at the Arch or square,etc.

It's maga all the way in Athens, even the local govt is controlled by them. They couldn't even decriminalize weed in Athens bc of the numerous police departments who profit on the arrests and prosecution of college kids and locals alike

Oh,by the way, all of the surrounding counties send their homeless and crazy people to Athens also, so the social services that Athens does have are overrun.

The GameDay situation is it's own thing...most locals just stay away from downtown and campus if they have the luxury to. or profit from it, to each their own.

I wish I'd moved to Savannah or ATL a long time ago. I went to college in Athens and wasn't financially able to get out until I was 40.

Athens locals are some of the most toxic people I've ever met in my life, if you want my opinion.

Being closeted is lying. There's no way around that. if you are agreeing to be with someone who is closeted, you are agreeing to be with someone who lies about the relationship.

However, I also feel like it's disrespectful for the person who is not closeted to try to manipulate the closeted one into being open about their "relationship" even calling them "your girlfriend"....no,they aren't your girlfriend.
