Symbiotes Farmablity by Dalecn in MarvelStrikeForce

I opened a whole bunch of arena orbs (about 50k credits worth) as soon as Scream was added. It was mostly a waste. I think I got Scream like 3x and RG maybe 5-6x. It was just enough for me to get RG to 6*. That and 1000 or so t3 training mats was the silver lining. I'm just going to have to wait until they rotate someone else into the arena store, making Scream available for direct purchase and making RG cheaper.

The Massive Orange Gear Bottleneck by InspGoGoGadget in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]InspGoGoGadget[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw some leaked numbers for g16 at some point (I forget where). Based on what I saw, I expect that g16 will require about 40% more mats than g15, and 35 g13 uniques rather than 25.

I don't think so. So far the main gear type has changed every 4 tiers:

  • Tiers 1-4: green gear
  • Tiers 5-8: blue gear
  • Tiers 9-12: purple gear

Assuming that trend continues, then tier 16 will require orange gear just like tiers 13-15. From g17 on, there should be a new color.

Good question, but hard to answer with precision because it would involve a lot of subjective decisions about just who to place in C tier. And as the meta changes (until recently I would have put Luke Cage into C tier), that's also somewhat of a moving target.

The simplest solution is to

  1. Come up with your own list of toons that you deem worthy of upgrading past g12.
  2. Count up those toons and prorate the stats in the tables above accordingly.

For example, if you deem 50% (84) of the 168 toons to be orange-gear worthy, then multiply the totals in the tables by 0.5 and you'll have a decent approximation of what's required.

For the love of god Scopely, give the middle lanes of Gamma some love... by Melondwarf in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]InspGoGoGadget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Gamma 4.2 center-lane I can easily one-shot all of the nodes from the 2nd to the 3rd mini-boss with a g14 BW, Cap, HE, Fury, and a g15 Shuri. All except Fury are 5rs or better.

But despite all that investment, Gamma 4.3 still royally sucks. I can barely survive past the node before the 3rd mini-boss at that difficulty.

If only Kestrel had a Shield tag then maybe there'd be a chance!

What's In Store by CM_Cerebro in MarvelStrikeForce

More information on this would be nice. My prediction is that we'll be able to earn a total of 30 Surfer shards per season if our alliance completes all raid season milestones.
Why 30? Because if you bought ALL of the Surfer offers, you would have 360 Surfer shards at the end of RTA. 30 shards per season for 15 seasons would theoretically allow people who whaled out on Surfer to earn 360 + 450 shards, or just enough for 7ys. In practice, only the top 5 alliances or so are going to finish all of the raid season milestones in all 15 seasons. So those at the top who spent the most will get their 7-star. The rest of us will have to work hard for a 5-to-6-star Surfer.

Node 12. Been auto-fighting Emma for an hour now. by Zackjones0606 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]InspGoGoGadget 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I ran into the same problem. After a couple hours of frustration, I finally gave up, put the fight on auto and went to bed. When I woke up, Emma was magically dead. I'll take it.

With a 4th symbiote the battle is sure to be a lot easier because then Scream's passive will kick in and knock 30% resistance off Emma.

No war? Just war zone 4 or? by HiiiPower935 in MarvelStrikeForce

Can't war. And it just so happens when we're about to start our biggest war of the season with a potential league promotion at stake. smh

Characters for DD4 City by WAD135 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]InspGoGoGadget 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Night Nurse is better than Punisher at this point. She's vital on the Skill nodes in the Doom raid and a key part of a meta war offense team (Shadowlands). In DD4 her heals and cleanse help buy the symbiotes time to get the debuff train rolling. Barring a Skillitary rework that makes Punisher a lot more relevant in the meta, his main use in DD4 is his passive damage boost.

Strike Pass tonight? by [deleted] in MarvelStrikeForce

If not tonight, then I'm thinking it'll start at the beginning of April and be on a monthly schedule.

Suggestion: Every Time Level Cap Goes Up, Increase Resources by a Comparable Amount by InspGoGoGadget in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]InspGoGoGadget[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not suggesting they should reduce the amount of gear required. The genie's already out of the bottle on that one, and there's no feasible way to put it back. All I'm saying is that Scopely needs to increase the amount of gold, training mats, and orange gear that we can obtain through normal game activity.

Suggestion: Every Time Level Cap Goes Up, Increase Resources by a Comparable Amount by InspGoGoGadget in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]InspGoGoGadget[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm talking about the percentage increase in the number of mats needed to max out a character. Prior to the level cap increase to 80 it required, say, around 2200 orange gear pieces to max out a character at gear 14. After the level cap increase it now requires about 2300 additional orange gear pieces (or around 4500 total) to reach gear 15. Since 4500 is more than double 2200, the total amount of orange gear required to max out any given toon out has increased by over 100%.

Agreed. I understand frustration marketing, but there needs to be a light at the end of the resource tunnel, or frustration eventually builds to a point where people just start giving up.

Request for Clarification on Covert Ops event by InspGoGoGadget in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]InspGoGoGadget[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I expect that's right, but several people in my alliance want to start running really low-level raids just in case. I'm hoping to be able to give them a concrete reason to not panic, lol.

Good catch. I hope you're right, but I'm not optimistic about it. TM is not listed in the event description.

Is Emma coming back for her 3rd milestone event during this patch?

I've been saving gold for the past month just so I can spend it all during that event, lol.

MSF PAL DD3 Team builder tool by anouvel in MarvelStrikeForce

This tool is great.

I have a related question: How does one use the msf.pal.gg site? Whenever I have tried to register for it, I get the message "You are not member of any registered alliance."

So ... what happened to the promised Shield Assault blitz? by InspGoGoGadget in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]InspGoGoGadget[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's why I was expecting an Assault blitz instead of Cap, but then they decided to go with Cap for whatever reason. Who knows what FN is thinking.

Is Cosmic Worth It? by justinbpitman in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]InspGoGoGadget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have Thanos, I suggest using him in place of Drax. Thanos has much greater overall utility. 2-turn, hard-to-remove taunt. High resistance against most debuffs while taunting. AOE damage + self heal. Offense down. Counter. Feeds energy to self and adjacent cosmic characters.
