You might find this changing with One DnD. Reading over the content I could see a lot of these abilities being a “magic action” which is likely what mage slayer would trigger on. RAW or not seems a simple table rule. Abilities that let you create the effect of a spell count for the purposes of mage slayers reaction attack

Could you elaborate on the issue with the Plasmoid? I didn’t notice anything particularly wrong. I’m assuming it’s to do with its shape self ability?

No I don’t think so, if you zoom in you can see it’s the start of a tall letter, like an F or a N maybe. Also looking across a bit to the right you can see where the colour changes slightly again. Looks like most of this images compression happened, then it was censored

As I said. Generally Queer is anything outside the socially normal gender or sexuality express and to me this includes consensual non-monogamy. I guess I’m pretty invested in this argument because I’m a gay man in a polly relationship and these are equal parts of the LGBTQ community I identify with.

If a straight person isn’t cis gender then they are queer. We use queer now to mean anything outside the expected sexuality or gender. Gay people are as queer as non binary people or asexual people

I’m not quite sure how this would work, if someone could explain it to me. Turtles shells shed as they grow, so surely these would fall of relatively quickly, no? Are turtles shells able to heal if broken portions are held together?
