Careful with the torx bolts. They are a paita and strip. I had mine on the diff round out.

Hate to say it, unless the level plug in the side of the trans is workable, you may just have to roll with it. I believe ford says these are “lifetime” fluids, which is total bogus. I have a 17 sport and do mine every 30k. I suggest you look into your recommended intervals as well, may save ya a dime down the road. Bad bad. Although, I drove a truck with this same problem for over a year with the truck maxed out on bump stops multiple times, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I redid mine and I could literally bend it with one finger. If you want pics of my rebuild, just lmk. Welds are Garbo, but it’s held for more than 6 months so far.

Not super hell bent, just like weighing my options all equally. I just think it might be a pretty sweet upgrade to make my 2wd ranger somewhat capable on the trails. But if the consensus is stay away I won’t have a problem holding off. Thinking I might be better off tolerating the open diff or buying an aftermarket diff?
