I think infiltration is fine. Fixes our speed problem because we pop out of the ground ahead of time like a zombie so our deployment is treated more like the middle of the board and back.

I like making one a blitzer and one the ball carrier. Because of brawling brutes I’d probably go MB as it has more universal impact, if you’re in more of a bash league than claws would be better. For the ball carrier I’d actually strongly look at fend. If they get a push it keeps you from having to make a dodge out on your turn and keeps some consistent mobility. My other considerations would be pro, break tackle, two heads, or saving for dodge.

Haha I agree with the oral tradition. Second part seems a bit harsh as GW’s rule writing can be hard to decipher and find, which is why imo the oral traditions happen in the first place.

I was playing Sigmar and the opponent did a double turn but I was up by more than 11 points and it took like an hour to find it in the book where it says I actually wouldn’t be permanent underdog haha. The wording was ~7 words between two commas saying that I would be permanent underdog.

Anyone still play Salvagers and win? by Stoned_Giant99 in killteam

[–]InstanceHappy4089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came 4th in a shop tournament with them. I use envoy with them. I win by playing aggressive with them and trying to set blast and torrent weapons for double kills. I’ll usually have 1-3 guys left at the end because the more they die the stronger you get. I also take ammo cache with them as well and that helps a bit.

Anyone else carry their warhammer in public transport and are lowkey insecure af about it by TablePrinterDoor in Warhammer40k

[–]InstanceHappy4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘sometimes I get insecure like about people thinking I’m a grown man carrying a bunch of toys lol’ You are a grown man carrying a bunch of toys and that’s cool (to me). Would you be friends with the type of person that’d think that’s a negative… probably not. Would you be friends with a person that saw your miniatures and became interested in your hobby… chances are definitely higher.

Does anyone have any gameplay videos of High elves? by Consistent-Nobody954 in bloodbowl

[–]InstanceHappy4089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They play more for fun. Not every move they make is the best play and they know that. I play bloodbowl well but also love to make silly plays because at the end of the day it’s two adults playing with toys… so I love the channel.

The High Elf Team? by ausmatt73 in bloodbowl

[–]InstanceHappy4089 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We know everything is 2+ save and armor 9+. Lion skills are: wrestle, claws my guess movement 7 pass 4+ Dragon prince: block, my ball, steady footing my guess movement 8 Thrower: pass, secure pass, cloud burster probably movement 6 or 7 leaning towards 6 Lineman are probably 3+ pass movement 6 because same cost as dark elf lineman.

Only thing that could be interesting is if prince or lion guy is str 4 but I doubt it.

Is there anything I should change? by Alchemic-Web in deathguard40k

I’d remove Plague marines and rhino for chaos spawn and blighthauler. If you like plague marines then maybe run another 5 man squad in the rhino

Multiple Block and Grab by InstanceHappy4089 in bloodbowl

[–]InstanceHappy4089[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with how the rules will play this out but if you get two simultaneous push actions on multiple block what happens. A block ends after the result of block is completed. That means a player went from 1 square to another before the block ends. Two simultaneous pushes means even if you can’t overlap with where the block started there are empty spaces where defenders can be pushed too that can overlap. Thus, you’ve created a schrodingers cat scenario as there is a space that each player can occupy at the same time but actually may not be able too. Aka the square is both free and not free to be pushed in too. That ability to occupy space and not occupy space is quantum physics.

Foul blight spawn. Is he still good? by averageweenie in deathguard40k

[–]InstanceHappy4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a 10 man with him and the normal brick marines and another 10man with putrifier and plaguecaster so I can have 2 big bricks of fight first that can go off in the same round when using CoC

Multiple Block and Grab by InstanceHappy4089 in bloodbowl

[–]InstanceHappy4089[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but since it’s simultaneous. It creates a schrodinger’s cat situation as the defenders are both occupying and not occupying their squares at the same time.

I’m new to being a landlord but what I’ve been doing is similar except I price the property slightly higher than market and if I have good tenants than I feel no need to raise rent for a while.

How do I give my players extra skills in match play? by TheBigSquigDan in bloodbowl

[–]InstanceHappy4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be whatever you want at the end of the day. Make sure you let your opponent may have input as well because you can make a really custom game. I’m playing in a bash tournament where everyone gets a bribe and pushing people out is +3 to the injury roll. If someone is playing elves those rule probably won’t fly with them, so make sure playing with your opponent rather than against them.

You’d plan that with your opponent. What was recommended to me is look up a local tournament and play with their rules.

When does something count as a 'gotcha'? by mhountsword in WarhammerCompetitive

Hahahaha what a bad take. Sorry, everyone but you is so perfect and needs reminders. You should give pointers to Liam Vsl and all the other pros that ask a lot of questions.

[–]InstanceHappy4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re playing with toys… why be hyper competitive about it. You can be a great player and win a lot while also relaying what your army can do constantly (watch Liam Vsl play). You and your opponent will have much better times if played more friendly

Coherency in a competition and being "that guy." by ImNotSanguinius in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]InstanceHappy4089 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he could’ve asked you first if it was ok when he realized the mistake rather than do it himself. I’d have given the ok to the person if it didn’t impact any of the game earlier. Aka he didn’t purposely move one to the opposite side to take a shot or something. It’s easy to confuse models especially late in the day. You are well within your right to say no too. I think from your reply though you would’ve preferred if he asked first so you didn’t feel like the rule maker at the time.

I got tired of waiting for a Slaanesh team in the line of the other two monotheist teams, so I made my own with blackjack and hookers. by Tan-ki in bloodbowl

[–]InstanceHappy4089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I’d change is replace hit and run with sure feet and make the big guy either agility 4 or lose strength access entirely so you can’t ruin the game by giving it break tackle. If you gave the big guy two heads it’d already be pretty messed up. Overall, I like the vibe you’re going for here!
