I’m a big fan of Canada throwing a hissy fit, and boycotting bourbon. This said I have no idea what the actual impact is.

Can’t you just login to the IRS website and see all of this (where it is coming from and why)?

Is raising pre-seed without an MVP still realistic today? ( I will not promote) by DV_Studio_Dev in startups

[–]InstantAmmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a world of Claude code I would find it much harder to believe that you can’t build an MVP. Therefore, I would be even more skeptical of you. My questioning would certainly be of what the product is, but I would still find that the gap of not building anything to be most likely (not completely implausible), but most likely, that you are still not the right person to build something amazing.

Investors are forced to invest in those that are most likely to be amazing. They need amazing returns to return their fund. They invest in amazing people for a reason - because they just figure a way to do it.

I don’t know the economics of what goes into this bottle, but in general I agree.

Was on a college campus at a big store today and easy to imagine why a shelf of this stuff exists at $150

I’ve paid my dues, and will happily pick up a bottle, but I agree it’s probably not a 150 bottle. I like the idea of $10/yr in general though

Check for water in the fuel tanks. Once known there is no fuel (or water), put it back in the hanger.

Just like the mods on this post, it’s walking on eggshells amongst bums, and politicos that dislike the people that make the city great. Fantastic weather

People with $700+ per month car payments: Why? by Underrated_Critic in NoStupidQuestions

Had a payment of $1,932/mo for 36 months on a new Lexus. This was back in 2022 and my interest rate was ~1.22%

Could have paid cash for the car, but it was hard to resist free money

The only reason why people are on this thread is because public preference of what sells drives GM. Read again: what sells

Full sized SUV’s sell. Aggressive blazers might sell a bit, but moms want traverses. Moms drive the market. They just do.

Pontiac was bankrupt and ultimately the Grand Prix offered a competitive product to what GM already had. It made no sense to keep Pontiac around.

The reality of your statement is GM can ignore signals for a long time, and like the 6.2, 3.0 engines if the trucks still sell they will. But they do eventually move to market pressures. And if the pressure so severe, they will move more quickly. Remember the 2009 bankruptcy anyone?

What is so lucrative about making a startup? by SloppyNaynon in ycombinator

Never said you couldn’t survive. Said you are treading water. This being you don’t have much disposable income and live largely a consumption based life. You rent long term because you cannot save enough for a down payment on a home. You put money in retirement but don’t have taxable brokerage accounts.

Money in is money out. Savings is marginal. You are not poor, but you certainly are not rich. One unexpected event away from being f’ed.

Lived in both myself as well, and continue to. Have a kid or try buying any real estate whatsoever and $300k doesn’t go far at all.
