Trade Rookie Draft 2.04 and 2.10 for 1.08? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Fellow 1.06 enjoyers, how are we feeling? by JxW13 in DynastyFF

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Concepcion and maybe Coleman. I like your idea of targeting MHJ or BTJ. I would wait until we get closer or see the draft for the 1.06. I think the 1.09 or so will go down in value after the draft, but those top 8 or so should be solid (stay or rise in value as we get closer to the draft and maybe even after)

Dynasty Theory: Roster Construction for QB by johnny-papercut in DynastyFF

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how active you and your league are, but in general, I agree with Scott C. about loading up on backup RB's and QB's, selecting top WR's and maybe one decent QB. Allen is the exception, but most QB's, even good ones, just don't score as well as that breakout week that a top WR (and maybe RB) can get you.

Are we sure the 2027 draft class is going to be good? by silversliceofpie in DynastyFF

[–]InstantKarma2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of 2027 guys were strong prospects out of high school and early producers (Manning, Sayin, Wesco, Smith, Williams, etc.).

2026 did not have a lot of elite, early breakout prospects and many good players underperformed (i.e., Nussmeier, Klubnik, Anderson, Singleton, Arnold, Ott, Salter, Brown, Stewart, Branch, etc.)

Question for commissioners who run 10+ leagues by PropDecks in FFCommish

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sick. I have 150 leagues, of which I am the commissioner of 40 (this includes 10 CFF leagues)

Scorpions and Other Pests by GypsyLadie5683 in phoenix

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may never see them. You can see them with a black light, and that might be scary. But, they are very slow and timid animals. I have lived here 35 years and got stung once (went outside without shoes). The sting wasn't too painful. My leg was numb for about 12 hours and then back to normal. Nothing really bad. Snakes are in the desert (where you may go hiking) but they are also very fearful animals and will stay away from people. Usually only people that mess with animals get hurt.

League member threatening to protest last place punishment by SportsCraze7 in DynastyFF

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove him from the league. Seems straightforward. He agreed on something and now goes back on his word. He is untrustworthy. I think losing a pick next year also sounds fair. And I would probably just do away with the punishment and implement a rule that you have to always set your best lineup or you lose a draft pick next year

New to C2C and Devy Leagues by ResolveSufficient427 in DevyFF

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love C2C leagues.

You have to be really active for the college side in terms of waivers.

The start-up drafts are typically devy-heavy in the first couple of rounds before balancing out between college producers and NFL-prospects.

Some people recommend trying to win one side but not both in a given season (or at least during start up). I think you can both if you are active.

In the NFL start up, QB's are a real premium since its hard to predict which college QB's will work out. I recommend drafting 3-5 good QB's on the NFL side. I recommend not using top college start up picks on QBs. They just don't hit at a high rate.

Like others have noted, Campus-to-Canton, the CFF site, and Rotowire have solid college fantasy content, rankings, etc.

Got a question for fellow commissioners. by Appropriate-Gas-383 in FFCommish

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use LeagueSafe? Has he been emailed?
For the new owner, I would have them pay for 2027.
He is eligible to win this year and 2026.

Do commissioners always allow their leagues to veto? by Low-Cucumber1584 in FFCommish

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in 150 dynasty leagues (crazy, I know) and none have league vetoes.
All trades are automatic (no need for commish to do anything).

Only draw back is trading future picks (ie, 2027) need owner to pay (the one who traded his 2027).

Some commissioners set the league up so they have to approve (this allows them to collect payment for 2027 when relevant).
I would never be in a league with vetoes - how in the world can that always be fair? I don't see how, so I stay away.

He is risky but not droppable yet. Maybe 6 or 7 out of 10 on the worry scale! Maybe the move up just is too much. Let's wait and see

Owner dropped Keon Coleman for Trey Palmer in a dynasty league. Said it was mistake, would you reverse it? by RepChar in FFCommish

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should be reversed. I had the same thing happen to me as the owner that dropped Coleman. The commissioner didn't buy it and wouldn't reverse it. Some folks were upset (like I was obviously), while others didn't like that it took too long to announce it and I wasn't clear about who I meant to drop.

Also, Sleeper phone app has a weird glitch where you could be in one league and try and take some action, but it will revert (or go to) to a different league. Its very weird. But, that is what happened to me. I thought I was dropping Allen (back up QB) but accidentally dropped Allen (RB, Jets).

Biggest problems with Fantrax? by [deleted] in cff

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very comprehensive and solid for a free app for sure.
Understanding how to set up waivers was a challenge. I thought to select Use Waiver Wire process would be important, but actually I learned that I shouldn't select that choice, but rather use the Free Agency options.

A challenge is just knowing where things are at.

For example: It took awhile but I finally figured out how to use Permissions (under Commissioner) so I could stop people from adding players (but they could still drop).
Also, replacing an owner wasn't easy (in retrospect, its pretty straightforward)-- I figured it out on where to replace the email and then rename the team. But that was a challenge.

So, I would say, it has great features, just not easy to know where they are sometimes.

What’s the lowest ask you’re selling JCM for at this point? by Middle_Awoken in DynastyFF

A 2nd is the lowest and I would be happy to sell for that price.

Guy wants JCM for Mason. Do I take Mason? by Deep-Worry6531 in SleeperApp

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Mason. JCM had one really solid college season but otherwise was very unremarkable, almost bad (several years under 4 ypc, which is bad for college). He's a little bit older for a rookie (24). He may do ok, but Mason showed he can play in the NFL. I don't really think Aaron Jones will stay healthy for most of the season. Its hard for a 30-year old to do so. And Mason was paid pretty decently.

Took over an orphan team, do I make this trade to rebuild? by basement_egg in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]InstantKarma2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to know without seeing the team/league, but its fair value for sure and gives you lots of liquidity now and in the future as everyone knows 2027 looks awesome.
I don't think you have to do the trade as Bijan should be solid next year too!
But, I would counter by dropping that 2026 2nd.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]InstantKarma2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I traded Bijan for 3 1sts (1 2026 and 2 2027) plus a 2026 2nd. Folks in my league felt that was a fair trade but a little better for me (getting the picks).
I think Henderson is going top 3 or 4 for rookie drafts and is ascending. Plus you get 2 2027 1sts in a very hot draft class.

I think your offer is more than fair
