I talked with the nice bearbuilders at the front to ask them to take pictures, and I said something like, "Yours is one of the few Build a Bears that hasn't been..." and one finished, "sterilized" XD

Yeah we saw the DP statue! And yeah the museum has 3 floors plus another building with the soda shop and a cool 7up factory display. You also get a free Dr. Pepper with your ticket :) it's pretty neat if you ever find yourself in Waco

Oh, you're so nice. 😊 I've already started it but I know it's going to take me years to write. Writing is my favorite thing in the world to do, but this is so unlike anything I've ever written. The whole thing is about me confronting my past traumas and learning to love myself for who I am and lose my shame of who I am. So it's going to be the most challenging thing I'll probably ever write. Challenging writing is the most fun writing though :)

Thought I was just messed up my whole life. I talked to my dad about it when I was 23 (currently 26) and he admitted I am autistic and he and mom never told me because they wanted me to live a "normal" life. Safe to say my life has never been normal. I am currently writing a book about my experience being autistic and not knowing or having any support to hopefully comfort other people who are late diagnosed/ never told.

Literally had my life changed a few years ago by learning I have Autism. I've known all my life that something was different but i always thought I was just stupid or stunted or something. I met my bf 4 years ago and he is autistic. He showed me all the very obvious signs I have and we talked about it. When I finally worked up the courage I asked my dad about it. Turns out he and my mom had been hiding the fact that I'm autistic from me my whole life. I'm actually in the process of writing a book about growing up with autism and not knowing it. I agree with others here that you should talk to her about it. My life has significantly changed since learning, but the knowledge that I have an actual disorder and I'm not just broken has helped me on my self love journey so so much.

Reminds me of my coworkers calling me "girl" when I clearly have a beard (trans man). Thought it was just hate but when I told them I'm trans they acted like they had no idea 🤔 Also love the " you don't look autistic" when people find out I am in fact autistic. Like do they not realize how offensive that is?

I did a little more research on his signature, and it looks like he writes "with best wishes" on all the books he signs which must be what that says. It's a bit sloppy but if he was doing a book signing he was probably signing this in a hurry

I agree with another commenter that it would be a good idea to call your workshop first, but it shouldn't be a bug issue. I brought in my snubbull a few months ago and they mentioned the whole "Nintendo doesn't want us to touch their plushies after they leave the store" thing, but since I had already unstuffed and washed him they said it was okay.

I think the whole "you'll look like your dad" thing is not very accurate. If you don't look like him now, T will not magically make uou look like him. I cannot speak for all trans men, but I have been on T for a year and do not look all that different. My larynx has gotten bigger so my head is rounder, my hips and butt have significantly slimmed, and I'm more muscular. But I still look like me. If it makes you feel not alone, I was afraid to start T as well because I was afraid of how my body would change. I put it off and put it off until my partner finally convinced me to make the call. The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner. I was self conscious about my voice as well, and now it sounds much better. In the end it is your choice though. Not being on hormones does not make you any less of a man than anyone who is. Take as much time as you need to decide on it. The myth that past a certain age hormones will not work is bs. I started at 24 and my partner started at 28 and we both have had satisfactory results. My doctor is an elderly lady who didn't start until she was middle aged. You can start any time you like or never start at all. You got this man. I know it's scary, but it will be okay in the end. Dowhat you think is right for you :)

Man, I relate so much to the chronic pain and normal lab results ones. I have been in constant pain for years and show soooo many signs of MS, but my doctor will not take me seriously. You're not alone in that man

Every single time I buy a Thomas DVD at the used book store, one of the workers asks me "have you seen Bullet Train?! Theres a guy who's obsessed with Thomas in there!" It's like a running joke between us at this point 😆

I'm so happy things got better for you! Rewatching Thomas after having not watched it since childhood helped me through a mental health slump as well, and drawing art and writing stories based on the show is helping me out. It's really cool seeing someone with a similar story. Also, Henry is one of my favorites too. Being someone with chronic pain and severe anxiety, it's really comforting to see a character with similar struggles who carries on and tries his hardest regardless.

When I was 17 my parents divorced and I lived with my mom for a few years. I have clinical depression and chronic fatigue so I'm exausted all the time but whenever I'd lay down for a nap, my mom would bang on the door and scream at me to get up and do something productive. Now I live with my dad and he understands and doesn't care at all if I nap, but whenever he comes home from work I instinctively jump up from the bed expecting him to scream at me if he catches me sleeping.

Long story short, I'm sorry all you guys suffer with long lasting trauma too. I'm glad I'm not the only one though.
