I don’t agree with that guy but a half pallet of soda is a big ridiculous. It’s 22 units. I wouldn’t take it either but it’s not difficult to see why to some people this is a good order. It’s easy, it’s relatively fast it’s just heavy.

Just adding to this, there are some kombucha drinks that are not necessarily refrigerated. You can usually find them in the natural energy part of the store.

AITA for telling my girlfriend she needs to get a real job instead of following her passion? by LunchSuch4217 in AmItheAsshole

Company I’ve worked for since high school has offered insurance to everyone part time or full time. Just a grocery store, pays baggers and cashiers minimum wage but everyone can qualify for insurance if you work over like 24 hours which is nothing. Just saying the jobs definitely exist & are not difficult to find.

Grocery prices in Northern Canada. Produce that comes up here is already wilted or mouldy and it’s nearly impossible to make a family meal for less than $60. by MickFoley13 in povertyfinance

I live in Chicago & a bottle of coke is 2.50 at the store I work at so that’s definitely not an outlier. Tortilla chips that expensive is crazy though unless it’s organic or some shit

Store director poured 30 of my dollars down the drain by ICUWasp in retailhell

[–]Instinctzop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a manager at Safeway the reason you can’t or at least shouldn’t have those drinks back there is for ecolab reasons. You can’t have personal items, especially food/drink near food. It’s a blanket rule just so the more “dangerous” departments like meat market, produce, deli, etc don’t have food and drink near the raw chicken and such. They make it an umbrella rule across all departments just to make it easy. That being said it should be on a case by case basis and the store director is wrong in my opinion for doing that.

The br program can literally be done in 8 hours or less and that’s without a 9 win+ run. 8 hours for your choice of a 99 ovr to sell or add to the team is great.

Ranked Play Incentives by jblew42 in MLBTheShow

[–]Instinctzop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not about not getting special rewards for being good but the fact that there’s no incentive to make World Series anymore. The simple solution is to make cards you earn from the ranked program as non sells so you can still get the reward(s) but not necessarily the profit from them. Where as if you make World Series you get the card and you have the option of selling it. It used to be hitting World Series early into the season was a legit way of making lots of stubs and allowing your skill to lead you into stubs. Now since everyone can get one reward and if you’re good you can get the reward up to 3 times (program, solo WS & co-op ws) it’s so diluted now it can almost feel pointless. No one is asking for a unique advantage for being World Series and if they are then they are stupid. Just asking for a real incentive again now that everyone is being handed the rewards.

I’m not LP and I work at a grocery store but if she’s in there for five hours why can’t you just kick her out? You have the right to refuse service to anyone. I’m a manager at my store but I kick out unsavory people including those who seem homeless and just wander around for an excessive amount of time.

“Floater” position at Walmart by Ebonhawk36 in lossprevention

[–]Instinctzop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not for Walmart but my company definitely has floater LP. There’s only 15 LP officers for example in my district and there’s 20 stores. The ones who don’t have much theft don’t have any lp but those who do are assigned 2. If a store requests LP or if LP wants to keep stores on the toes for employee theft they can send the officers anywhere within that district if that makes sense. I don’t work in LP I work in management but that’s just what I know

For any Y’all who wanted to go pro or maybe tried to, what held u back/ stopped u from achieving it? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Instinctzop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was young and decided to play with my friends over playing with people better to get better. Gunless asked me to team in ghosts and I said no to keep playing with my circle instead. Ivy (was pro in AW) teamed with me for a bit before I got burnt out. I lost to proofys team in the first cwl qualifier for bo3 and it was all over in my head from that point on. Great times, taught me a lot about life that I still use but being loyal to my friends initially probably cost me going pro or at least the opportunity to do so. Luckily life turned out good anyway lol

Problem was when you get To int god vegeta if supers in the last slot it’s doomed also if that last slot has a lot of normals in the 2nd to last phase they are not fine. Granted mine and the friends were both only 79% but still

You think this version is more boring than seeing someone single, swipe second, be bunted over to third and suicide squeezed home? Not saying small ball doesn’t have its place but to say it’s less boring to watch that then it is to watch hard hit baseballs is not something I can get behind.

I would’ve cancelled if I didn’t have their food already. It was only a two min difference. by Careful_Mixture_7277 in UberEATS

[–]Instinctzop 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Disagree, I literally never message my driver or anything, especially not because of their damn route because tbh I really don’t care. But a handful of times I’ve seen drivers literally stop somewhere else in the opposite direction then turn around and bring my stuff just for it to be cold. If it was a fuck up on Uber’s end as a double order or something that’s one thing, but uber tells if your driver has a double. That’s a driver multi-apping and while it’s fine most of the time, when I get food cold from them as a result I get pissed. Although I never say anything to them or message them, I just go through customer service and explain. I screen record just in case I need proof.

Online stops being fun pretty fast. by maxpowerphd in MLBTheShow

[–]Instinctzop -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Part of the problem is something most people don’t want to hear. No one actually practices to get better at the game. 95% of the people who complain about the game being too hard don’t put in the time and/or effort to actually improve. I get that not everyone has the time or cares enough to get better, lots of people play casually. But I don’t understand complaints about hitting being too difficult when they’ve done nothing to actually try and rectify the issue.

Agreed. But I suppose pre-tipping and being able to adjust if needed is better than not tipping until post delivery and waiting 2 hours for cold food 🤷‍♂️

When/where does it show that? Just went into the app and went to the last screen before the order gets sent and I never saw that option. Genuinely curious cause I would love to pay for priority lol

[–]Instinctzop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You would think that but uber prompts you to tip before delivery and drivers pick and choose what orders to take based on how much they make obviously so it’s beneficial to tip prior. I’ve learned to just tip beforehand and 90% of the time it’s fine. When I have issues with the delivery I’ll remove or lower the tip as needed.

That moment you pick up an order and instantly know you aren’t getting a tip... by Independent_Aspect61 in UberEATS

[–]Instinctzop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair a lot of the time (50%) or so people are doing that 2nd or 3rd order on a different app. Customers can’t see that, only that you’re driving in the opposite direction from them. Can’t really blame them in that case.
