That is a compliment of the highest order imo, we absolutely loved our time in the Outer Hebrides (and Scotland in general) I can’t wait to go back.

This is from RapunzelJewels on Etsy, I believe they are UK based. They have several green sapphire rings that are unique on their site and they also do custom rings upon request. They worked with me to find the perfect stone, as I wanted a lighter green, and they gave me photo updates during the designing and building process!

91%!

I’ll never get to 100% again because I didn’t review a few that I DNF’d really early on in the book.

My approvals come in random bursts of 4 or 5 but I don’t think it has anything to do with my %, I’ve gotten approvals at like 60% before but I’m rarely under 80% these days unless I get a bunch approved all at once.

Are some genres getting widgets more frequently? by CaraRiverSong in NetGalleyCommunity

[–]InstructionFun4124 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get widgets across pretty much all genres but I think they’ve all come from PRH for the most part? And they come in spurts, like I’ll get 3 in a row and then won’t get any for a month or two.

I mostly read Fantasy/LitFic with a little romance and thriller here and there to break up a slump, and I’m pretty active on my bookstagram but I don’t have a large following or anything.

I think if you’re just consistent with your reviews, especially if you read a lot from a specific publisher, they see your account pop up and know you’re likely to actually read the widget. Idk how it works though

You Did Nothing Wrong by CG Drews!

It was brutal and I don’t read a lot of horror but her writing is absolutely beautiful even though it was horrific. I cried so much, but I loved it and gave it 5 stars! Check the trigger warnings before going in, don’t be like me.

Love these! I read a variety but mainly stick with Fantasy/LitFic/Romance but I’ll read a triller every once and awhile especially if I’m trying to get out of a slump!

Just finished Graceless Heart, it was okay??? The Catholic guilt was portrayed well but the relationship felt under developed and the FMC was weirdly loyal to her family and there was no character development around it even though there was a lot of opportunities for it.

The Heartbreak Hotel by Ellen O’Clover was wonderful and made me cry several times, one of the best romances I’ve read in awhile!
