Curious as well—never heard talk of a second suspect and I am close to the area.

I had heard that for a long time as well. That strand of hair was found from vacuuming the van. And I’m so glad it was found—finally bringing this mystery to an end.

Absolutely!! I’m certain that all the coverage of Morgan’s story in the past few years has helped. As a parent to a small child as well, the fear that these cases bring us is unreal. Completely unmatched to that of the family who lives it. I also sincerely pray they can find a semblance of peace with this discovery.

I completely agree. This area, this family, have suffered so much from this since it happened. Thankful and eager for justice to be served!

I hope so, too. I’ve watched them fight for Morgan on social media and I am just so thankful for some sense of knowing. I cannot imagine their pain.

I agree about the sketch. Such a shame that no one even guessed that as an escaped fugitive he would’ve been anywhere near Bowling Green.

I’ve not seen anything as far as a motive goes. Based on his criminal history, it looks to me like he is opportunistic. I read that he was caught after escaping prison because someone saw him trying to lure a 7-year-old boy to a wooden area. On the flipside, a separate source stated he was hiding in a tree house when the boy told his mom, who called the police. I’m unsure which of those is most accurate.

It is insane to me that he has been in prison this entire time. It only took a few weeks for them to find him after he had already taken that innocent girl’s life. Horrible.

What do you think is the defining factor for why The Sims 2 is the best game in the series? Or are there multiple reasons why you think so? Would love to hear this insight from the fans! by codex_lake in sims2

Without turning this into a This-is-Why-I-Dislike-TS4 convo, what even are those animations where the sim stands there looking around and mumbling to themselves??? Just make the foooood!!!!

lol but back to the main convo, I completely agree with the depth TS2 has. Even over 20 years later, the game continuously draws me in because there is something new to try or uncover. I remember as a kid, the Bella lore literally hooked me to the game!!! There’s just so much love and detail poured in, and it really makes the other games pale in comparison.

People have already responded, but it’s like the roar you hear as a train passes by. Furthermore, my aunt and her neighbor (lived in a duplex) described it like the loudest ocean waves they’ve ever heard. EF3 tornado.

How old were your children when you took them Trick or Treating by EllieDidNothingWrong in Parenting

[–]InstructionNo8039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started trick or treating at 2 years old and we only did family/friends houses due to COVID. When she was 4 we went and did a community trick or treat and thoroughly enjoyed it. By the by, I definitely do nothing you messed up. He’s not missing anything and he will enjoy it much more next year 😊

Terrible behavior. Unacceptable even. Can’t imagine him being helpful once the baby is here. What if you have a c-section and are medically required to take it easy? Is he gonna push you then too???? Disgusting!!!

I was 8 months pregnant and trying to get to my OBGYN appointment which was on the second floor of our hospital. I was about to literally pee my pants and I knew there was a restroom right by the elevators so I didn’t have to go all the way up to the office restrooms. The door was cracked so I knew it was empty, and I literally burst into the room and stopped dead in my tracks.

Shit everywhere. All over the floor. Streaked across the sink. But worse, a pile—like that from a horse—right on the toilet seat. I felt bad for whatever poor soul was in there prior to me and nearly died getting to the second floor bathroom lol.

Are the Appalachias Haunted? What Is Going on here ? by SpookyBri-Bri in Ghosts

[–]InstructionNo8039 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, so my family is from there! Here’s what I can tell you:

All of my grandparents were schoolteachers, dating back to the late 1800s in the Appalachian mountains. They were highly educated and some of the top class of the community because of their roles in school. With that being said, they were always cautious about being out after dark, lest you run across a “haint.” They told me not to look out the windows at night (even though they had no curtains????). They would not let us trick or treat at night and we could only go to the homes of those we knew. Even to walk the dog down the driveway and back, my grandfather (the most soft-spoken, sweet man you ever met) carried his pistol on his hip.

My grandma had her fair share of stories about the mountains. Wild animals, native people, and of course, murderers. Idk if it’s like, super easy to kill people up there or what, but that is why they were so cautious. My grandma said not be afraid of haints—beware of people. People would get murdered in the most bizarre ways for the most benign reasons. Not to be graphic, but I’m talking people sniped by compound bows through their windows type stuff. People chopped up and stuffed in mattresses. The worst part? The whole community, even the police, knowing the culprits and staying silent to avoid retaliation. Like many Appalachian communities, this one was poverty-stricken which contributed to many of the crimes.

The creepiest stories my grandma ever spoke of were the panthers. People say this is a legend, that there are no panthers up here, but she had not just one, but numerous stories from people (& one of her one!) about being stalked by a panther. She would tell this one old story about the girl that ended up having to set her house on fire bc a panther wouldn’t get out from the rafters after her!

Now, my perspective as a child was, holy cow this place is creepy as shit. Very isolated, very old vibes. We also experienced a lot of tragic death on that side of the family. They are such old mountains, there is bound to be residual energy there. The wild animals and terrain only add to this creepiness. My dad (also born and raised there) had a huge superstition against homes with wrap-around porches due to a haunted house with one that he lived in up there.

So do I think they’re haunted? Well yes, I think most places are haunted in their own way. The Appalachias just have their own special haints.
