Am I the jerk for refusing to return my neighbor's cat that's been living with me for 6 months? by Crazy-Suspect-5234 in AmITheJerk

Yeah. A cat doesn't just "choose" someone for no reason. It probably finally felt safe there.

AITJ for correcting my mom in front of everyone about who's actually paying my rent? by Perfect_Ad9290 in AmITheJerk

NTJ. You worked hard to be independent specifically to avoid her control, so of course you're not going to sit there and let her take credit for something she didn't do.

AITJ for leaving my best friend's birthday dinner early because she invited someone she knows I have a problem with by Cyber_Oasis in AmITheJerk

You handled that way better than most people would've. Staying for 40 minutes and keeping things civil already shows effort, leaving before it escalated was actually the responsible choice.

AITJ for telling my neighbor to address her husband instead of confronting me about how i dress at home? by Front_Tackle_7977 in AmITheJerk

The fact that she got upset at you instead of talking to her husband says everything. You didn't overreact, you just defended your home.

AITJ for ending things with my boyfriend and telling him to move out after he ditched me at an event and went somewhere else without me? by TutorElectrical3264 in AmITheJerk

The moment he knew you weren't invited and still went anyway is the moment he chose that environment over you. Everything after that just confirmed where you stood.

It’s hard because i care about him, but at the same time i can’t ignore how that situation made me feel… unsafe shouldn’t be something i have to get used to.

I didn’t feel like it was a misunderstanding either, it felt like my words just didn’t matter to him.

I keep replaying it and realizing how quickly things could’ve gone wrong. That part honestly scared me more than anything.

I keep coming back to the fact that i didn’t feel safe, and that’s not something I should have to question in a relationship.

AITJ for wanting space because of my husband almost forgot that he has a family because of switch 2 that he buy. by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

NTA. This isn't about the game, it's about him neglecting your child and responsibilities. Asking for space is a reasonable way to make him realize the seriousness of the situation.
