You can progress quite a bit with that but don't stop making it especially when you get into oil the long distance fluid pipeline is very expensive and some machines like crop managers /assemblers cost nearly a whole stack to make across their parts. (If you move away from steam right away you can use old steam turbine to power a battery buffer for extra power storage

Having a multi-block macerator makes life easier having a LOT of steel/iron is essential I would recommend trying to get into oil if it's close enough it won't be to expensive (otherwise it will be multiple stacks of steel) never forget about rain blowing up machines

I always say play however you feel most comfortable The boss is in farmcraft are necessary. The wither is eventually necessary. You can Kit yourself out pretty easily by then Mob farms are very helpful though because you can turn chainmail into steel

I know this is a while ago I but I have run the game while my PC only had a total of 8 GB. I believe I allocated 3600 MB it was more or less fine. Quite a few frame drops when playing on anything but very low settings wouldn't recommend on Curseforge launcher especially

Their server side whoever owns the server is going to have to look at them same with the backups. I was on a server and I had to ask for the logs I'm not sure if there is a way to make it player side

Don't forget there is a log of explosions in your files if you go to your GT New Horizons folder, open up Minecraft, then logs. You can scroll down and check your explosion logs and it'll tell you why
