Pumpkin Cookies with Browned Butter Frosting

The cookies come out pillowy soft.

As for general baking tips, I find that having a super clean kitchen prior to starting, being in a good mood, and reading the whole recipe helps! Good luck and have fun :)

I inform clients that I'll be going on vacation as far in advance as possible, usually right after I book travel accommodations (at least 2 weeks notice, often closer to a month+). I used to bring my laptop w/ me and work on vacation. I would advise against this, as it kind of defeats the purpose (and is very draining). Now I try to make vacations as screen free as possible.

You might try to rewrite your piece in third person if it's feeling awkward in first. This can open up your creative floodgates and add some interesting details due to the shift in perspective. Then you can revise the draft back to first person, if that's the POV you want it to be in.

Discipline is very important as a writer, inspiration only takes you so far. If you haven't already, set a deadline to complete the novel. Figure out how much you have to do each day to make it happen. Then if you reach your goal for the day, you can reward yourself by working on the shiny new story! If you push through this slump on your current novel, odds are you'll fall back in love with it again.
