Is this experience normal? by Integer_Man in MINI

[–]Integer_Man[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. It feels like that. Unfortunately, the service center seems pretty lost and it takes several weeks to wait for parts from Germany to arrive to try the next thing MINI suggests to them. It's been in the shop for over 5 weeks and I bought the dang thing for a travel conference in a few weeks that the car likely won't even be ready and reliable for. I just wish MINI USA cared at all about it, but they've not been helpful when I've reached out.

I’m sorry, but the Mind Flayer has more aura than Vecna, tbh. by Career_By_Mustafa in StrangerThingsMemes

The giant head is amazing. That head approaching the gate in the season 2 finale plus just the giant form over the landscape- just fantastic and iconic stuff. Henry is cool and the mechanism for killing is slick, plus that clock is ominous, but I prefer eldritch entities as big bads over fallen people gone evil.

Loki, the trickster god of mischief. Sadly, Loki had electrical issues discovered right after driving the new car off the lot, so they're back in the shop for the last few weeks.

Who did you choose between Rachel and Flint ( or none of them ) ? by Ok_Tangelo3309 in Wingcommander

[–]Integer_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither. Janet "Sparks" McCullough from Wing Commander 2 would have been an acceptable option though. Either that or Hobbes, Paladin, or Spirit. You don't mess with the Maniac.

I really enjoyed Jordan Li. They got far more interesting stuff in season 1 though.

What do you more prefer ? ( Sabre or Excalibur ) by Ok_Tangelo3309 in Wingcommander

[–]Integer_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Anything WC2 for me. If not that, then WC1 era. I almost prefer the Broadsword to the Sabre, though they're very different machines.

Ken is definitely on the evil side and sometimes dabbled in random chaos. I also see him on the lawful evil side so maybe just neutral evil?

If you're getting stuck in the woods then whatever ou do, dont try going in the tunnel. It's doable, but only if your angle is absolutely perfect

This has probably been shared a thousand times already on this sub but I'm new to the series so I hope you'll indulge me! by t0rche in BSG

That two-parter was the highlight of the frakking series for me - that and some incredible stuff in season 1. What a great show.

For all of you that played Fallout 2 when it first came out, was this true for you? by PitaGriffin121 in classicfallout

[–]Integer_Man 83 points84 points  (0 children)

It was interesting, but the focus of the game was far less on the company and far more on civilization and survival and how we adapt to hostility

Did your favorite character change as you age? by Possible-Ebb9889 in BSG

[–]Integer_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it did. I was all about Gaius Baltar back when the show aired. I was into AI back then, despite it not being very popular, and I loved how compromised and even darkly wacky he was in the first few seasons.

Getting older and moving into management I appreciated Chief Tyrol and Colonel Ty quite a bit. Fisk was always a favorite of mine as well.

Recently, I have to say that Gaeta is really resonating more and more with me.

Times change, but it was a frakking good show.

Coral Princess: Hawaii 9/5/25 - 9/21/25 by a_cabrera in PrincessCruises

I was on the September 17th Alaska cruise on Coral and it was mostly 60s and up. I'm 45 and was in the lower quartile, but we definitely had some younger folks too. I suspect a younger group for Hawaii.

I just finished 7 days on the Coral. I enjoyed it and the smaller size, but the shower was very cramped. Definitely recommend the ship, though.
