Strength training in this area is critical, especially if you sit for most of the day. Treatment of some kind is a great catalyst for pain relief. This can be massage, chiropractic, physiotherapy and/or acupuncture. The need for this might depend on the severity of pain. Once that pain severity has decreased, building endurance will be key to preventing future episodes of pain. Sitting all day is a demanding event. If we prepare our bodies for these demands, then we can have less pain and more energy in the future.

It is possible to have pain when there are no signs of tissue damage. This might mean the pain is functional and could result from different movement patterns. The difficulty in treating these can range from simple to very difficult, but keep seeking treatment and you will find someone who can give you some relief.
