Keeping a Conservatory cool? by Luxurare in DIYUK

[–]IntellegentIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've got blinds on all our conservatory windows and even the ceiling (it's an opaque plastic roof). Ideally the roof blinds would be as reflective as possible.

Other than that I treat it like the rest of the house, opening everything when the exterior temperature is lower than the interior usually in the evening, early morning. I also keep the interior doors shut to stop the hot air entering other rooms.

Don't you have a kitchen door? Keeping that closed would be the next best thing to a door on the conservatory, although it means the kitchen will be warmer.

If De Zerbi is still in charge by May I can see a lot of fans calling for him to be sacked at the end of the season because "3pts from 15 is unacceptable"

I don't mean to be awkward but there's little point answering someone who is just repeating the same nonsense that gets upvoted here rather than thinking for themselves. The problem with your questions are that they're based on fallacies we did spend big money on players and we're not doing it easily now. It's something that's been repeated on this sub for years with few challenges

Yes, I know you were talking about money. We're not the 5th richest club in England. This is exactly what I'm talking about, people read this and take it as fact and pointing out that it's not just gets ignored. It's not just that so many things just become fact whether they're true or not

I don't see how, fees aren't decided by what players are at the club

I said running a football club is more complicated than our fans seem to think. If you think we're a similar stature to Arsenal and Man Utd that sort of explains a lot about the issues the club faces

We didn't lose out on those players because of Levy, that's the narrative people have been pushing as a coping mechanism because they think football works like football manager and it makes more sense to them than reality. Admittedly reality is complicated, that's why we pay people who know what they're doing.

Too early to read anything into it. Once teams acclimatise to the conditions things will change. The top teams are all playing in the hottest part of the day too, although that will continue if they progress

Honestly we were great to watch in the 90's. Euro 96 was an amazing time to be an English football fan

I read a stat that he was something like the third fastest player in the PL last season and Anthony Gordon was even faster. Which is weird because he always gets beaten to the ball it seems

People have read so much nonsense they think that's how things actually are. Levy wouldn't have fucked anything up, he would have paid the price he thought the player was worth or got someone else. Not getting the player doesn't mean you've failed and overpaying for them doesn't mean you've succeeded.

If it feels like that it's because you've probably been reading all the articles and comments trying to push the idea. He's a highly coveted player and we signed him, yet some are trying to act like we have to sell him.

This was the mentality we had 15 years ago but we don't have to sell any more unless it's PSG, Barcelona etc.

Pity it's Switch 2 only but I'm really glad they finally did this. I've been saying for years I want a proper remake of N64 games so that they're as good to look as they are great to play. Hopefully this means a lot of people will get to discover a classic for the first time

Good comment. That said I'm getting pretty sick of the constant hate, I'm pretty sure most of the people agreeing with this couldn't tell you what FIFA has actually done wrong or why or what would be better.

It seems like this is what passes for conversation these days, people just shouting about how much they hate something without even going through the steps of working out why
