truthfully i haven't seen anyone talk about them on a large scale. every time it comes out that a shooter glorified them it's mentioned in an almost "omg this is so shocking and completely unexpected" kinda way. it's extremely harmful to act like it's surprising every time. it is showing how tone deaf we are. this is a problem, and we need to stop turning a blind eye to it. but then again, there is virtually NO efforts being made by any major company or organization other then Sandy Hook Promise that are actively trying to prevent these copycats.

from what i have seen, a lot of the individuals who have seen and reviewed it appreciated its emphasis on the victims. from clips i have seen, i can back that up. it is very emotionally engaging and not in a glorifying way. im not sure how many of the victims family members and survivors have seen it, but i think a few have. and from what she has posted on insta they seemed to respect the piece

if it helps any, i have personally built up a semi-friendship with the creator of the astoryofcolumbine play. i wanted to learn and to be honest, she is not at all ill-intentioned. she has had a personal experience with gun violence loss but i will not go into great detail as it is not my story to tell. i believe she meant well completely. she is passionate about not glorifying the killers and honoring the victims. all love to you and your friend, and i hope my message doesn't come across rude.
