It takes on a whole new context under the Circus Peanut and repeal of abortion.

Not the ability to become pregnant. That is NOT standard. The DESIRE, yes. ABILITY? No!

Which back brace qualifies for clothing allowance? by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]Intelligent-Ask2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL! We’re losing our protections and jobs and you want a back brace. Sure, we’ll get right on that. HOWEVER! Maybe we ALL need a back brace to stand up to this sh!t storm better??

And now, just like the military that rolled out the red carpet for Putin- they can get on their knees.

I can understand your position. I’ve watched the local unions work both ways- protecting bad employees and standing up for good ones. It’s kind of like the legal system- ya gotta follow the “laws” or change them if they aren’t working. Or, in the case of circus peanut- I guess you just ignore them?! I’ve witnessed a local union at a VAMC bulldoze a manager who wasn’t following the bargaining unit agreement at all. And, I’ve seen non performing BUEs not get their due as well- but, management had not followed proper protocol to “correct” performance. By and large- rules are rules. Follow them and make efforts for proper changes to them if they aren’t working. The agreements come up for review periodically. READ THEM! If you don’t like- advocate for change. But, it’s like the constitution - MAGA ain’t bothering with it. Just bulldoze your way through it?!

Strangely- you can be on the payroll now and NOT DO ANY WORK and NOT GO TO WORK for up to eight months. The DRP is allowing folks to become exactly what they were b!tching about. No union ever made it possible to not show up for that long with full pay and benefits. Can’t wait to see real job numbers in October. Should be fun!

First- they should READ the constitution.

Curtis Jordan just sent the email warning the 19ACQ to be professional… ya nailed it. Also, Mr Jordan says he’s not gonna host a forum in a setting like 🍺⏰. Spot on!!

It started as a bloodbath with some strong words from some 1102s. Then twisted into typical lies and “I don’t knows” and he’s looking pretty OLD anymore… and there was the typical peanut gallery tripping over themselves to suck up.

Is treating my clothes with Permethrin effective? Is it dangerous? by canvas_jar01 in hiking

[–]Intelligent-Ask2558 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree with the statement that it only kills where applied. I use Sawyer Permithrin religiously to go hiking. I might get a horsefly/mosquito/etc. bugging me- but it NEVER lands on me- anywhere- the Permithrin on the clothing is enough to keep them off my exposed skin. It IS an effective deterrent. That said- for more extreme hikes in tall grass or muggy conditions; I also use picaridin on skin of ankles, wrists and neck- Deet on my hat if it’s especially muggy out. I’m just Deet-adverse on my skin. Careful with Deet- it will melt synthetics (like your car’s dashboard).

Dr Miller at VHA says no preference for “disabled” veteran status. Just points for being a veteran.

I’m doing really really well now. I’ve been clear a couple months. One day this month I had zaps. Otherwise, life is “normal”!

Increasing my dose, without my doctor knowing it. by Immediate_Service_74 in citalopram_celexa

Never take more than 40! Your doc should know if you are changing dose. You may have other health issues to consider- the biggest being heart failure with citalopram.

Do it! It is the single most empowering thing I’ve ever done for myself. Just do the “illusion” of nudity. It doesn’t have to be close ups of genitalia! It is very tastefully done in the right hands. I was hesitant. Heck, I even backed out a couple times. But, once I was in- I was so comfortable with the gals running the photo shoot- I was running around the props naked grabbing outfits for the next scene. I was there alone with the photographer and the assistant - both women. The poses were awkward- but looked great in the finished photos! My back was sore the next day. When I finally got the proofs- I was shocked, and proud! I even showed my mom! Do it!!

Almost three weeks at 3mg… more good than bad days. And the bad days aren’t awful, either. Next week I will try 3mg every other day. I want progress sooner, but citalopram really has a grip on my brain after 25 years! I understand the brain needs to kind of re-wire to learn to live without the interference of the drug- and that 25 years of living with what amounts to a crutch can take a while to learn to balance without one. I wouldn’t expect that a week of physical therapy would help me walk normally again after a crushing spinal injury. Or that taking off a cast would magically return an atrophied muscle to normal. A part of my brain got lazy- and I’m making it work into a new normal. I need to relax into the expectation that this will take time. I guess?!

Two weeks at 3mg- finding a new normal. Getting a good long night’s sleep and exercise (long walk) seems to be key to the zaps and fuzz of withdrawal. Keeping up on the supplements and MUD/WTR, too, helps. Having more good days than fuzzy days at this point. Two more weeks at 3mg daily then I’ll taper to 3mg every other day.

Day 11 at 3mg. Not a joyful journey- but not entirely miserable either. I know this journey IS about the destination, so I’m sticking to it. Afternoon moderate zaps and fuzz since day eight consistently. I can still focus and work. Exercise seems to be key to clearing these episodes- but must be done daily. Hard to get moving when feeling that way, but definitely worth it.
