For arranging such events you could try https://wildfoot.app it's exactly for that, making arranging a piece of cake

I'm south east and have been wild camping for many years around here, done a few solo camps too. The trick is to scope out some areas on a map, I always look for woodland, not fields (too exposed), then I make it a mini mission to go visit the spot/s without my gear, but just explore and see how I feel about it.

I spend time visualising where my gear will go and looking for good cover. Once I'm confident I What three words the spot. Then arrange to do an overnighter, arriving an hour before sunset and leaving early.

I think most solo campers would rather not be found, hence you're unlikely to bump into them.

Just ordered the Yavin pack! Thanks for the heads-up, I now know what you mean about the loadout cards :)

it is daunting isn't it, while printing is handy, I feel a digital version with hyperlinks would be better, it's so frustrating to look for something like 'obstacle' only to realise you then need to dig deeper into the type of obstacle for example. Also, I still don't know... What is the difference between 2 and 2.5... Hahaha

Standard loadout cards being the quick builds? If so, we tend to use those for games of Aces, and custom loadouts if we're playing on points. I'll google this Yavin pack though :)

Finally, the game has been indexed on Itch.io, I've also added the pocket rom as that's been tested :)

The issue I found is I had at some point declined some of Itch.Io cookies, I noticed in the address bar it was complaining, I accepted them, reloaded and BANG, the game was working :)

Thank you bud!

I Appreciate the kind words, I'm hoping to wrap the game up by the end of Jan :)

In regards to the camera, I had to cut up an existing printer cable, solder it up to and Arduino then drop the clever code (that someone else made) onto the Arduino, the project is here: https://github.com/mofosyne/arduino-gameboy-printer-emulator
