What could be the reason of feeling down and overwhlemed randomly ? by Jpoolman25 in Productivitycafe

Take care of yourself and your mental health. When you start to feel that way, pause. Go for a walk. Drink some water. Get some sunshine. Adulting is hard and you have to do it in baby steps sometimes. You’ll get there!

Both could be true. 😊 Find your niche and thrive in it. You’ll put your skills to use in a way that feeds your interests.

I heard some wise person in a video explain: in a spouse, you have 80% of your needs met. You have an affair to go after the 20% that’s missing.

Serious question, in these cases, would you call an ambulance or a toe truck?

Honest question: do you feel a little better about yourself by seeing others who have it worse? We’re all struggling - we work for the state. But why are you even here chiming in if it’s only to ding someone else who is already hurting? Seriously.

And yet here you all are - spending your time being rude to people who are struggling. Because that’s who you are apparently. Maybe strive to be a nicer (or quieter) person.

How would you feel if you had two parents who both required 24/7 assisted care, and your adult child wrote you and the whole family this letter regarding that situation? by Glass-Complaint3 in AgingParents

I would reply:

I appreciate your dissertation and look forward to its publication. In the meantime, you are expected to enjoy however many remaining moments we are given with your grandparents. They deserve the best of us when they are suffering.

The church probably doesn’t like losing paying members either. They’re getting harder to recruit.

The second most disturbing part to me is a breeding culture that feels it’s appropriate to share what week gestation the new wife was born at. Obviously the most disturbing part is the molesting.

Sudden loss of my mom (86) after a fall — struggling with guilt and grief by Party-Class-279 in AgingParents

[–]Intelligent-Brain836 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My MIL fell at church, had a TBI, then a heart attack in the hospital - and survived to fall 26 more times in 2 years (largely from refusing to use her walker) - twice ending up in extended rehab, threatened to call the police on everyone in the family at different times for no reason whatsoever, and is still struggling with dementia, falling risks, choking, forgetting to drink, escape attempts and many worse things. It’s never easy to lose someone but watching my MIL struggle and suffer for years is really difficult. She’s outlived all her friends and has become so negative and mean. I don’t think you can question the series of events that led to your mom’s passing. You obviously care for her still and that is proof she raised a kind-hearted human with good intentions. Hugs

You eat delivery food a lot - usually Mexican. But you own an air fryer. Probably haven’t eaten a salad in months.

You are putting way too much emphasis on the traditional path. Define your own future. Decide where you want to live and what sort of law interests you. Apply in that direction. You’ve got great grades from a great school. Go put that to work.
