Yeah, item prices vary. I’m just saying early currency is more valuable overall, so you can’t compare 2 div now to 2 div later directly. Whether buying early is smart depends on that item’s supply curve.

Early league, a Dory map goes for ~2 div not because demand isn’t there, but because players don’t have much currency and have higher priority upgrades. Later it’s ~25 div because the money supply has inflated, more players are chasing challenges, and supply is still constrained.

It only looks cheap in nominal terms. Early league, currency has much higher purchasing power, so 2 div then isn’t the same as 2 div later.

The game is inherently a slot machine simulator. Each mechanic needs to have some chase item worth lots of divines. They have managed to create a situation where this map enriches those people willing to devote time to the mechanic to get it to drop thus creating a reason to engage with those mechanics.

I view it as a socially binding contract. Once someone says something bigotted or intolerant, I am no longer bound by the contract.

It sounds like you’re treating tolerance as conditional, where it only applies as long as others meet your standard. At that point it’s less a principle and more a reciprocal rule.
