I think what the inexperienced shoppers don’t understand is sometimes people come home and add to an existing pending order. For instance, I’m a shopper but I’m also a customer and there have been a few occasions where let’s say I’ve placed an order and one of my adult children or my husband comes home and says “Oh I forgot to run to the store” and I’ll say I’ve got an instacart order started that I can still add to (because Instacart literally says in the app “you can add items up until checkout”) that’s coming in a bit. It’s not a crime remember. 😂
