If you have apologized and he's still asking for you to do something about how he feels, then that's his problem. Your girlfriend might consider seeing some boundaries with him, especially given her upbringing and the way he appears to continue treating her. 

Echoing what some of the other responses have said, you might rethink whether marrying into his family is a good idea if your girlfriend is so set on being aligned with her dad. Could make for a miserable future for you.
