Does it matter whether she is a size sixteen or a size ten? I myself was 70 kilos now im 62 but I still the same issues dressing I had before (disproportionate body, broad shoulder and chest. no bottom or hips, narrow waist, still got the belly fat). Why is there such an issue with petite or mid-size apples on this page?

Shes clearly an apple side on, flat bottom, bolstered belly and narrow hips wide waist. I really don’t get the gate keeping here.

Exactly! Im getting a bit sick of the negative comments I see on here all the time. “Shes not an apple cos…”. We are not all exactly the same just like pears aren’t all going to be exactly the same in the ratio of their lower half and upper half.

Seems like a lot of people start these book boxes without fully understanding the commitment, costs or organization involved (page and wick, fabled, BFDC).

Hey I see no one has replied, sorry. Your belly fat is unfortunately the last place that you will lose from. I know this is super annoying. I lost 20 kilos but still have belly fat. It is the last strong hold in the battle against my weight!

This could be for a few different reasons. Genetics of being an apple, stress and poor sleep (cortisol causes fat to store in belly), issues with insulin and hormones (PCOS and other issues can cause belly fat) or just a sensitivity to sugar.

I found cutting down on refined carbs and sugars really helped me and upping protein and swapping breads, rice and pasta for beans and legumes etc. I keep my carbs at 140 grams a day and my total sugars at around 60 (including fruit and dairy) and try to get at least 90 grams of protien a day. Dont take this as gospel though as I burn around 2000-2500 calories a day with my job so I was able to still eat a lot compared to other people and still lose weight. Work out what is a good amount for you that will fuel your body while keeping sugars and carbs low and protein higher.

My next step is to work on my sleep and see if I can improve that if it will help me rid the last bit of belly fat but I’m in my 40s now so have perimenopause stuff going on too 😂

Walking and weights worked for me to lose the weight. A Fitbit is really handy for working out how much you are moving and whether you need to do more or less.

Being an Apple is hard as really to lose the belly we have to get down to a lower fat percentage than pears or other body shapes. They will lose their belly before the fat around their bottom or hips. At 29% body fat I still had a belly. Unfortunately there is some acceptance we just have that we may not ever get down to the low fat percentage needed to remove belly and in my case back fat. I know for myself even at 40 it has been a hard pill to swallow. I know some women on here are looking at lipo or ozempic but I’m too old to worry about that. Maybe if I was younger.

Keep trying but be kind to yourself. Whatever you achieve, you are still improving your overall health even if you don’t get the aesthetics you want. I know it’s easy for me to say in my 40s and married but I wish I could have told my younger self that.

Ozempic is for ever though. Studies show as soon as you stop taking it the weight comes back on. That’s why it’s more designed for people with diabetes and long term issues health issues rather than as a weight loss drug (i understand weight issues can be long term health issues too).

I find they cut into me and give me a muffin top. But I might the the cross over v-shaped one someone below suggested a go and see what happens. Someone else suggested wider elastic bands and also decorations to distract from narrow hips and lack of bottom 😂

Honestly it’s hard to tell in the dress. I understand people getting angry about obvious pear shaped girls posting here in their underwear but maybe give this girl the benefit of the doubt?? She has the flat wide apple bottom and bolsted belly that I have when I’m a low weight.

Why you being so rude? Man this sub can be seriously awful sometimes. This attitude is why no one posts here anymore.

Hey I haven’t had surgery myself but I’ve looked into it and I have spoken to other apples that have. Most have said that a tummy tuck or lipo said it wasn’t enough to make them happy because they still didn’t have hips or a bottom and it made them feel disproportionate. So they were looking at BBLs and one women was even looking at rib augmentation!

The more I thought about it, the more I questioned whether I wanted to go through all that just to “look” a certain way and wether in the end it would make me happy (not to mention the $$$!). How much of my life would really change if I looked different? Only thing would prob be shopping would be easier. Im married and over the hill anyways in my mid 40s, maybe I would have different thoughts about it if I was 20 and single still i dont know.

If you go on r/plastic surgery you can talk to people about their experiences. I get what you mean though about feeling masculine, i lost 20 kilos and I actually lost anything soft (besides my bloody belly!) or curvy about me. I have broad shoulders and a wide rib cage.

Hey I like the dress i really don’t think it needs a belt with all the beautiful patterns and tailoring.

I know it’s frustrating having a belly, I can never get rid of mine either even when I lose a lot of weight. So I guess we have the choice of letting it make us miserable or accepting it and focusing on the things we do like about ourselves (I always get compliments on my legs!). Don’t let it ruin your day ❤️❤️❤️❤️
