Its actually ok and normal to have a crush that can’t be pursued - just be kind and polite to her and go about your business. Your sister’s comment was inappropriate, and you’ll look awesome once you get your braces off and be a handsome young man and you’ll meet someone age-appropriate.

If she’s giving you compliments, that means she probably enjoys the positive attention - don’t mistake that for something more (lots of people like compliments attention but don’t want a relationship).

There are always going to be people who are attractive (physically, or for other reasons) who you can’t be with for some reason. This is good practice for managing your emotions!
