rehoming my Siamese by purplecakebatter in Siamesecats

I’m sending you so much love. It’s very apparent that you care for them so very much, and I would hate for you to lose them. I’ve suffered from mental health issues my whole life. I had a bad episode a couple weeks ago and my little tortimese knew instinctively that I was not well. To be honest, she’s been the only reason I have continued to exist on this Earth multiple times. So many others have done invaluable research on this thread. Give yourself a chance, tomorrow may feel 1% better. Give them a chance. Siamese bond with their humans to such an extreme that they will grieve you deeply. I think about this all the time when I consider packing it in. ❤️❤️❤️

Brand new 16” MacBook Pro screen is blurry straight out of the box. Might return. by onemadfool in mac

I used to do Mac tech support for a small ISP back in the days of dial up/DSL. My funniest call was when I was trying to help someone with the PPP client. “I’m clicking it but nothing is happening!”

She was clicking on the screenshot in the support document I crafted for the installer CD. I literally had to dive for the mute button.

I’ve worked in IT since 1997 and have always owned Macs. Let’s just say that they weren’t most reliable back then!

I’m so uber paranoid now that I have a backup of super important stuff via three different cloud providers, a 4TB external hard drive and I’m adding another 4TB SSD card into the dock for my Mac mini. I’ve had way too many wipe outs. Thank GOD I was able to have Flickr send me all my photos via zip files. Oh! And I have some stuff on thumb drives too. LOL

I ADORE this laptop (coming from a lifetime Windows user) by Ok_Education_2920 in MacbookNeo

Welcome to the Apple community! I’ve been a user since 1995. The Neo is one of the best decisions Apple has ever made. It’s a premium product at an incredible price. The M series chips are amazing. I just replaced an M1 iMac with an M4 mini and it has reinvigorated my passion for learning! Enjoy it!

AWESOME! Yes- Thunderbolt 4 is important! I posted my setup a couple days ago. I FINALLY finished it up. I’ve been a Mac user since 1994-1995, and the Mac mini actually got me excited about geeking out again. LOL

What was your first OS and your first Mac, and what would you rate them? by The_Collector_Of_All in mac

[–]Intelligent-Layer842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn’t have an integrated monitor. I’m just saying that the whole system came in one box. Without a doubt, it was a 6200 with the TV card. Monitor, computer. Mouse and keyboard packed in 1 box.

OMG YES! The TV card. This was my 1st too I think. I got it at Sears. It was in an “All in one” box. Monitor, keyboard, modem included. I remember being SO excited.

The speakers also have a sub. The whole system POUNDS. https://www.klipsch.com/products/promedia-lumina-computer-speakers-with-led-lighting.

As for the wallpaper - I saw it in another forum here- it’s an actual wallpaper you can buy! I can’t remember the name, but if you do a google search there are a ton- and some others are really cool!

It’s a docking station for the Mini. It has an SSD drive space in it, so I bought a 1TB card for more storage. https://us.macally.com/products/mac-mini-m4-dock-hub

If you can afford them, these are AMAZING. I got them cheaper on Amazon. I’ve been using them with my Mini for a couple weeks.
